The NaNo clock doesn't automatically change for Standard time. This means that if you haven't gone in and changed the time zone you selected, the site will think you are one hour ahead of when we are. This doesn't matter today, but it will be a big deal on November 30th when you finish your novel at 11:30 and go to verify your word count... only to find out NaNoWriMo.org thinks it's already December where you live.

How do you check your clock? Under the My NaNoWriMo tab above, select Edit User Settings. The very last setting above the Terms and Conditions is Locale Settings. Make sure the time and date in the time zone you've selected reads correctly. For instance, right now it should say Sunday, November 1, 2009 - 02:35 -0800. If the time displayed is not correct, use the drop down menu to change it.

There, that's finished! Now happy noveling!
