I so wish we had a write-a-thon meetup somewhere here!

@abathy : 927 is nice! Anything approaching 1000 on the first day is good progress, specially if you're a first timer. :)

So it's past 12 AM, and I had 2275 by midnight.
Anyone who makes a joke of my 4K goal is gonna get it, literally (since we're talking literature here).

of course started, as I took the pen and diary to the window chair, and wrote few lines.. But when I finished, realized, the word count is a tricky game.. I just made only 436 words in the first day..

Help, please?

Hey Chittz,
I'm with you on the drowning bit - got a bad cold + setting up a new house + work with a deadline of 15th Nov + nano
I've figured out that if i write maybe 200-300 words at a time and then forget writing and do other stuff for a two hours or so and come back determined i'll write another 200-300 (one more scene/one more bit of description) - i can manage the 1667 word count (give or take a few) - by 12 at night....
Hope that helps. (You can make up the word count slowly - it's the start of the month - and we've all got a long way to go, no?)
So get writing! :)
Cheers

@arvind1508 leave the linear mode of writing the story. Fill the first few 1000s with your fav scene, the one u always have in mind. It helps :)
