I meant to post something on this yesterday, but I ended up getting wrapped up in research when I got home. Whoops!
The Kick-Off was a blast; there were about ten of us total and I think we made a fair amount of progress with our notes and plans for the month. I know bouncing ideas off you all helped me work out some important facts for me--such as my MC's occupation! I heard some fantastic ideas and I'm super excited to see how everyone progresses.
Silverwing: Aww, I'm sorry you weren't able to join us yesterday, but welcome to NaNo! It's going to be a fun and crazy month. If you want to join us for a write-in, there's always next time and we would all be thrilled to have you! :) Our next write-in will actually be tomorrow at the new Barnes & Noble in the Market Street at Heath Brook shopping center.

It is gorgeous, with a huge selection of books, DVDs, CDs, and some other odds and ends. The café has lots of tasty treats, as well as free Wi-Fi. Electrical outlets are a little bit scarce, but that’s nothing a power strip won’t help.
