I enjoyed meeting everyone at the Kickoff last night. I hope the IHOP-fueled writing went apace. =)

I got in my first 1K words this morning.

Good luck, everyone.

I got about 800 last night but didn't crawl into bed until 4am (the NEW 4am, so really 5!) so I woke up at noon and I so haven't got my butt in gear yet today!

Thanks for coming last night!! Congrats on your first thousand words!

I very much second the enjoyment. I had tons of fun last night - though I did and still do wonder if maybe I got a little too excited, talkative and nosy with the people around me.

I didn't go to bed 'til around 5am - the new five - because I stopped and wrote for another hour to an hour and a half. On the other hand, I broke 1,800 before I went to sleep, so I was pleased, even though I was dead on my feet!

Happy (and productive!) writig, everyone!

Thirding on the enjoyment for last night! I wouldn't worry about being too talkative, Serena. Why else did we get together if not to have someone to talk to while we wrote?

I couldn't drag myself away from the computer until the new 6:30, but at least I built up a fairly large cushion.

I had a great time too, although I arrived a bit late (kiddos where on a sugar high and would not go to sleep). Glad I got to meet a few of you, hopefully I'll get a chance to talk to the other half of the room at one of the other write-ins. Happy writing!

It was a productive evening last night, even though I am extremely tired today. But I got my 1667 words done last night at IHOP, and I got another couple hundred in this morning, because my cell phone clock evidently doesn't reset unless I turn it on and off, so I got up an hour earlier than I had intended, haha. But at that point, if I had gone back to sleep I would have been late to church.

I also had a great time last night, and I'm really sorry I missed the party leading up to the write-in, thanks to my cat pulling a disappearing act right before I walked out the door (we didn't know whether she was just hiding somewhere or got outside while I was handing out candy to trick-or-treaters. After an hour of searching inside and out, we found her in the back of a closet, buried under a bunch of stuff). The write-in part was a blast, though, and I enjoyed meeting those of you who I got to talk to. Amanda and Nancy did an awesome job pulling it all together. You should both be proud of yourselves.

I was really sorry to miss last night. We ended up going out of town and not getting home until 2am. Still haven't had the opportunity to get even one word written today, but the kids go to bed soon, so I'm hopeful.

Looking forward to meeting everyone soon!

How awesome cool was that! I would have loved to have had at least an hour to talk with each person--so many interesting people!

I finished 2,006 words at IHOP, had an hour's drive home, and got home a little after 3 am (the old three, really, fall back remember . . . .) and into bed about 4.30. Then up seven hours later (ringing doorbell) and back to work for another 1,301 words. Might have done more if the sun had not come out to play.

I still can't believe I've written so much in one day. Amazing. Anyway, still some hours left before midnight. I'll keep hacking away to get the count up while I can because I know November will have about four days that very little writing will be done.

Congratulations everyone! Keep noveling!

See you Wednesday at Wendy's . . . .

I got about 7000 words done before I fell asleep last night. :) I wrote a little bit more this afternoon and went through and added stuff to what I already had.

Cleared 6000 words yesterday, which roughly translates to my prologue, the first corpse dropping (it's a murder mystery) and the immediate aftermath. my plan is to shoot for 1000-1500 words on weekdays, and 5000-6000 each weekend. Whether I can keep up that pace remains to be seen, but I'm trying to build up an big cushion now for the inevitable stall-out. I'm actually more worried that my story as outlined may top 50K, but if it looks like I'm running out of month before I run out of story, I'll just synopsize a subplot chapter or two so I have the proverbial "s$%##y first draft" in the can by the 30th. I feel like I'm racing my internal editor as much as the clock, here.

I loved meeting everybody! And I'm trying something crazy this month: spending the early mornings writing on my WIP (trying desperately to finish the last 3-4 chapters) and working on NaNo in the evenings after work. So...yeah. Let's see how crazy I can drive both myself and my roommates!

I'll see you at Friday's write-in!

I got about 10k altogether between the first day and somewhere between midnight-3am yesterday.

TONIGHTS MIDNIGHT WRITING--- not going too well.

BUT I WILL MAKE 15k before bed or die trying. D: My inner editor finally woke up from my sleep schedule abuse. XD

Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you all! I am still without computer (ack) but I am borrowing. I started writing yesterday, and I'm moving along at a decent enough pace, considering everything else going on in life LOL. It looks like you are all doing great! Bravo!
Good writes to y'all and I hope to meet you one day soon!

Be well!

I'm about 45 minutes south of Tulsa and it looks like I'm not going to be able to make it in for any of the write-ins. I hope to meet everyone someday, however. So far, I still have no plot. But the story is unfolding and looks pretty good. I had to laugh that my main character is citing a need for 'focus', and I'm feeling the need for a better focal point to my story too. heh heh I'm enjoying the process, though. Write on, fellow nanowrimos!
