Hey everyone!

Well, I was looking through the events throughout November for our region, and I couldn't find any in the Denton area. And since several of us have been talking about write-ins in Denton throughout November, I figure I'd start a thread for it. So here it is!

Does anyone else want to get together for a local write-in? What days are good? What times? What locations? All ideas welcome!

Thanks, guys, and good luck with your novelling! :)

I'm in. Any evening is good for me (after about 6 pm), weekends (Saturdays are easier for me than Sundays, but either will work), and I'm free pretty much any time on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

As for places, we had mentioned the Starbucks by the mall before. I'd be good with that. Also, the public library might be an option (I'm close to both the North branch and the main branch). They might even have private rooms where we could go and close the door. Just a thought.

Saturdays, Mondays, Tuesday evenings, Friday evenings, Sunday evenings . . . I go to TWU and in the taller of the two high-rise dorms (the one facing 380).

I was beginning to think I was the only TWU student on the forums. I see plenty of UNT people floating around, but that's been it so far.

No way!

Oh and I'm totally a Slytherin too - *cackles*

In fact, I'm writing a Snarry for this year's nano. *wiggles eyebrows*

^That is way creepy. I'm seriously sitting here reading one of my favorite Snarry's while I take a break from homework/studying/writing. That is pretty weird, I've got to say.

But alas, I am not doing a fanfic, I actually haven't at all for NaNo, though I consider it every year...

Hehehehehe.

I've done original fic for the past 3 years and decided to take a detour this year.

Slytherin

My creative writing class (TWU) is doing Nano. I'll be at Panera's from 3 to 5 on Wednesdays in case any of my students need support or company writing. If you want to join us, drop by. I'll be wearing a deerstalker hat (because I write mysteries). And next fall sign up for ENG 3123!

Write-In! I know it's short notice, but would people be up for a write-in tomorrow around 6 at the Jupiter House on the square?

I'm so sad I missed the midnight write-in and I want to bond with my Denton area wrimos =)

Sure. I was there for awhile this evening, but it closed early and I was a little burnt out with the current chapter anyway :) I'd love to go tomorrow evening.

I'm wearing a brown snow patrol hoodie and a purple scarf and shirt. And my computer case is this freaking huge metal thing. It looks very suspicious - like a bomb or something =)

I'll see if I can make it out sometime. Are you guys doing these specific days or any day?
I'm definitely better with weekends. I teach middle school so weekdays are tough to stay out longer than an hour or two.

Well, Raven, there's one on RIGHT THIS SECOND. We'll be out till 9. Currently I'm sitting here alone novelling sporadically between bits of muffin and facebook/twitter distractions. I think it's time for some water and some work *nod*

I'd like to have a write-in this weekend, if anyone would join me. Perhaps an early afternoon on Saturday or Sunday, at Panera, or maybe the North Branch Library? They've got those nice tables with the outlets underneath, and all...

(ZOMG, ravenoak, I think I've subbed for you. You're the computer teacher with Mario on the walls, aren't you? XD )

I should have checked the message board before heading out! I thought that might have been you but I wasn't sure. I was sitting on the couch near one of the drink cases with my Compaq.

And yes, Kay, I'm the one with the Mario walls. :) How cool that you've subbed for me! Small world! :)

Ahhh!!!! I knew it was you. I totally did. And I was actually writing you a note saying that I wasn't sure if you were you or not and that I hoped you had a good night. But you left right before I finished it. Made me sad.

I like how we totally knew we were both wrimos. lol =)

And yeah, that table was horribly uncomfortable. The sofa was so much better. But I totally only got like four hundred words done. I was way too busy trying to figure out if you were you or not.

Well, I know it's a little last-minute by now, but if I can get confirmation that at least one other person will come, I'll go to Panera this afternoon (Saturday) sometime. When do you want to show up? 3-ish? 5-ish? Earlier and make it a lunch write-in?

And if someone needs a ride and I know where to pick you up, I'd be happy to oblige. :)

I think Sunday morning will work better than today, actually. I could probably make it by 11, or maybe 10... unless you were thinking of early morning?

I'm at Panera right now in Denton, writing for NaNo. Forgot a sign so I'm the short one in an old tori amos shirt with the mac and a ponytail.
