My NaNo neurosis hit waaay early this year and I completely froze around noon yesterday. Took yesterday off, ratcheted down the thinking that the story is stupid, and plan to hit the keys today. I have a lot of making up to do at this point.

Willpower has prevailed. I met my quota (1,750) for the second day running, instead of sprinting out to buy Dragon Age. We shall see what the weekend brings, since I set a higher quota (2,625) on Saturday and Sunday and don't have work keeping me away from the electronics shops.

Still on track here. Through the magic of Excel, I've even noticed that I'm eating into the small (225-word) defecit that I had on day one. Okay, so I've only shaved it down to 138 words, but hell, it's going in the right direction, and that's better than the inflation I had been expecting.

Ok. so previous word count no longer applies...I scraped the idea..changing it to a short story. I have developed a new and better one that will get me my word count and I can be happy about. So i am back down to under 500 :( But at least i have room for improvement. Also my genre changed along with it. happy writing.

Well almost to the half way point and right now I think it is total crap. Me just writing words. There is no life being blown into the story, it is flat and emotionless. Which is making me re-think the 3rd person POV. Guess that is why there is always re-writes later in the year for me to focus on....I am not turing around now, keep plugging ahead!
