OMG I slept almost all day yesterday so that I was fully awake when 1201 am hit for the 1st of November and the kickoff of Nano. I was up and ready with coffee and computer ready to go. I properly stretched my fingers and set up the most comfortable area for me to write in. I worked straight through once I started and went from 1215 am until about 10 minutes ago at 505 pm. Cranked out 13,571 words for the first day and feeling good about where my story is going. My wife is reading it at the moment because she wants to see where all my time went this morning. LOL. Hope everyone else is having just as much luck and good times as I am.

Good Job!!!!!!!!!!

I woke up yesterday with a sore throat. Ugh. Allergies I hate mold and dust....... Anyway. Worked in the morning had a business meeting then had to take my 7 year nephew trick or treating. He called in a sweet little boy voice and asked me to take him since his mom and dad were too well I can't write what I think of them here but lets just say he's freaking 7 trick or treating is what you do at that age. Anyway. I got home at 8pm took some meds because I was sick as all get out by then. Slept for 12 hours. But I got almost 3000 words done today so far. My allergy meds are giving me kind of a high though and my character is supposed to be mad. It's hard to write mad when your brain is off in left field.
Now I have some green tea and honey and some popcorn. The house is empty but me and the dogs. I will so get some more done.

Good work. Showoff. :P

I have yet to break 500 words... still trying to figure out my "angle of approach" here. I'm probably thinking too hard about it, but I spent most of today going over my notes and fleshing them out some. Hoping to really take off on it sometime between today and tomorrow.

I know it's really hard to get started and then not to revise. I think the four tips they've given us is right on. It's just getting the words on paper, even if it's crap.

On Friday, I found out my 10 year old orange tabby has diabetes. I spent that evening, a lot of Saturday, and some of today really just focused on him. Between running around to find the least expensive insulin, trying to get him to eat dietetic management food, and researching feline diabetes, I managed to write 1763 words. Not a masterpiece to be sure, but I am amazed at where the story is going already.

Tomorrow night I'll be giving Topher his first insulin shot. Major trauma for the both of us. After that, I hope to write. Maybe won't get a full 1700, but I'll give it a shot.

All the best to you all!

Good job for all of you! I know you're doing everything you can to make sure you are doing well. Don't forget, it's the weekly total you want to look after. It's okay to have a slow day. Just get back on it tomorrow. You'll see yourself where you want to be in no time.

Best of luck!

I am glad that everyone got a little bit done today. Sorry to hear that some are sick and some are suffering family issues...I hope your cat does ok. My cat had diabetes when she was 4 and she lived until she was 17 so as long as you stick with the meds and stuff it will work and you and your furry friend will be ok. Hope everyone has a good week and posts some big numbers. I have to work all week and don't know how much I will be able to get in at night after work so I am trying to use the weekends as my writing stone to put up the big numbers.

Starting a day late and only three hundred sixty words, tomorrow i'll have more time and hopefully be more focused. Cheers

I'm starting to think that my lack of planing is going to hurt me in a big way, it doesn't help that I only decided to do Na No Wri Mo 3 days before the first day!! I think I'm starting to panic a bit! Though my biggest problem is that I don't have a good place to write, it's ether in my bedroom where my only chair needs to be cleaned out pronto, or my too busy living room where little kids are playing and parents are trying to control them. I hope going to a write in will help!

As long as I'm writing there's no problem.
