I'm curious when the best time for the TGIO (Thank God It's Over) Party would be. I was thinking the first Friday night in December. That would be December 4th. We could do an evening party or a daytime party on that Saturday or Sunday. One of the awesome Wrimo's is offering up her community's club house (at 11th & Garnett) to host the event so I need to give her a date and time ASAP so she can get it reserved!

Let me know what you guys think!

I can do Friday night or Saturday anytime. Sundays are not good for me at all. Yay for parties!

I could *probably* make it to that one, even if I don't make it to any of the write-ins.

Daytime Saturday would probably be best for me.

Saturday is perfect! Just don't make be drive in too early. I'm all fluffy and friendly after noon, but I'm scarey in the morning. =~D

Saturday sounds great, just please don't make it too early in the day. I tend to work pretty late into the night and thus sleep late as well. I can switch it up if I have to, but a sleepy me doesn't tend to be a fun me.

What about a late afternoon thing like 3 or 4. We could do potluck fingerfoods since it cuts close to dinner time...

Count me in! Can we bring a friend who didn't write, but kept the world running so we did could? (Thinking of hubby here. Poor guy is going to have to do a lot of fishing this month so I won't have so many distractions. =~D He'll also be doing most of the cooking and putting up with housework on hold. He deserves a party for that support.)

Serena let me know this afternoon that 12/5 is out! The clubhouse is already booked...

She didn't mention the4th or 6th though. What do you guys think about that?

Seems like most of the responses confirm that Saturday afternoon is doable. Can we get it another Saturday or maybe find another place? May be hard to find a place anywhere in Dec because of competing holiday parties.

Does it have to be at her clubhouse? We could always meet up elsewhere . . . lots of restaurants and such have private party rooms, or if the weather's decent we could always meet up outdoors. A lot of community centers have meeting rooms too.

But, I'd much rather prefer in the evening on the 4th than doing it on the 6th. If it's on a Sunday there's no way I would be able to come :(

One if the library meeting rooms might be a good place? Or I used to go to a drumming group's meetings at All Souls Unitarian Church, they are pretty laid back - there were quite a few of us pounding on dumbeks and djembes and generally making all kinds of racket - and they have nice meeting rooms. *shrugs* Just a couple of ideas.

Guess when my son booked my granddaughter's birthday party? Yup, Dec. 5 at 2 pm in Mannford.

(insert appropriate expletive) I'm gonna miss the TGIO party.

NANCY! NO!! That's not fair!! Will it be a LONG party? Can you not reason with your son!? (<- mostly joking!) That is terrible... hopefully you can come on over after that party. If I get the place I asked for it'll start around 5p and go until 8p

Hey, I can be there at 5. (happy dance!) Maybe just a few minutes late.

If it is any earlier, though, it gets trumped by an eleven year old with raven hair, dancing eyes, spontaneous hugs, and squeaky-face kisses.
