I would love to join this but doing it during NaNo is a bad idea for me. I was actually going to start this very thing AFTER NaNo. lol. So I will jump in after I wrote a book because, after all, that is my priority right now.

If there is no limitations such as midieval fantasy characters only, I will put in my blessed trinity of Alexis, Madison, and Melissa.

I will also be selecting a character for this new fantasy series based off what happens in my book. If someone needs more work (which will probably be Regan if things go like normal) or I have a new character to work on, I probably bring one of them in.

NAME: Saryn
AGE: 18
RACE: Human.
APPEARANCE: 5'8, well defined muscles due to a complete lack of fat but definitely scrawny in build with a gaunt looking face. Dull grey eyes, messily cut dirty blond hair and the beginnings of a mustache and beard. Pale skin where it can be properly seen beneath the dirt he's usually covered in. Poor quality but well mended clothing, caked in a similar amount of dirt to the rest of him. Carries various daggers about his person, a pistol and hand crossbow at either hip, and a full sized crossbow in his pack.
PERSONALITY: Crazy, crazy, bowl of crazy. Or more accurately a sociopath (assuming I've picked the right one there). Prone to irritation, doesn't understand the idea of consequences, doesn't recognise that other people are actually people (beyond a very few special cases), has no capacity for empathy and sees little need for it most of the time. But he isn't bad with flat out logic and is fairly polite unless you really upset him. And he's very over protective of his brother Mat.

NAME: Mat
AGE: 16
RACE: Human.
APPEARANCE: 5'5, slender build, not particularly muscular. Very similar in appearance to Saryn but more attractive and drastically better presented. Neat, clean blond hair, grey eyes, and well mended if slightly shabby clothes designed to show him off to best advantage. No weapons beyond a belt dagger that's more for show than anything else.
PERSONALITY: Friendly, polite, very passive, and very pliant when it comes to...physical demands. He tries very hard to keep people happy. While Saryn feels its his job to protect Mat from physical harm, Mat feels its his job in turn to look after Saryn and protect him from the consequences of his actions.
ETC: Drug addicted prostitute.

NAME: Ovric
AGE: 20-something. I'll go with 20 given he'd probably be cut off from any sort of relationship-type stuff if I made him any older. :P
RACE: Human. More precisely, he's from a barbarian tribe known as the Rusgar.
APPEARANCE: I usually describe his physique with the word "bearish." He's just a really big guy, a bit over six foot and all muscle. His hair comes down around his shoulders in brown waves, and his eyes are a striking blue. Clothing includes a leather jerkin set with little pieces of metal to form a sort of breastplate, a fur mantle, boots, and his sword belt. (And pants, but that goes without saying.) Armed with a broad sword, five knives, a crossbow, and a lance for mounted combat.
PERSONALITY: Quieter and more withdrawn than most of his kinsmen. When he does speak, it's usually blunt and to the point. He's fairly logical and expects a lot of himself. Very loyal. Oh, and you really shouldn't make him angry unless you're immune to having your limbs cut off with a broad sword.
ETC: As with all other Rusgar, he rides a stag instead of a horse. His steed is grey, the size of a clydesdale, and had a very bad temper. His name is Worsanoth.

If Saryn cares for his brother, he's not sociopathic. Just a note.

Possibly not but it's the closest description I can find to his mental state. If someone can find a better one I'll adopt it happily. But from what I've read (admittedly only via wikipedia *shame*) the only real difference is that rather than viewing himself as the only real thing with any importance in the universe, Mat is instead. Everyone eise is inconsequential, and the only reason he has any relevance himself is because he's the only one who's realised that keeping Mat safe and happy is the reason for the world existing.

So crazy, crazy bowl of crazy still applies even if the clinical definition is incorrect.

As this is an excellent way to waste time and I haven't done any RP lately, I'll just borrow a minor character of mine and adapt him a little...

NAME: Cobra
AGE: 33
RACE: Human, more or less (see etc.)
APPEARANCE: 5'7" (170 cm). Dark hair cut very short. Brown eyes. Fair skin. Generally fit but looks more like a runner than a boxer. Unremarkable brown and grey tunic and leggings. Clearly from a cold climate: wears boots instead of sandals and has a furred cloak in a roll with his pack and gear. No armor, carries a shortbow and knife.
PERSONALITY: Solid, boring - and unlikely to ask questions about you or consider asking others' advice before doing something if he thinks it's a good idea.
ETC: In his own universe, is cybernetically enhanced. Only thing I'm carrying over is the fact that he has a completely hairless face for some reason, and his eyesight - man can see in anything less than complete dark just fine. Here we'll just say "a wizard did it" and leave it at that.

AGE: 16
RACE: Plain old human
APPEARANCE: 5'11, solidly built, friendly looking chocolate brown eyes and brown hair. Attractive. Carries a shortsword. Dressed in a way that belies he came from the desert. Has a hawk with him named Sion.
PERSONALITY: Friendly, jovial, fiercely loyal. Not easy to piss off but if you do, watch out.
ETC: Master swordsman, no other abilities

NAME: Griffon
AGE: 26
RACE: Marked one
APPEARANCE: 6'11, somewhat imposing, lean. Bright electric blue wings and eyes, tan skin, and blonde hair. Looks 'weathered', like he's been through a lot. Also from the desert. Carries a longsword.
PERSONALITY: Stoic, quiet, somewhat reserved. A tortured soul. Cares most for his brother Armand.
ETC: Can shoot 'matter energy' from his hands. Secrets from his past to come later.

On a friend's advice, I'm going to try this out; that is, I'm going to see if Ambi lends herself more readily to characterization and development as a human.

Race: Human/Andrielle
Appearance: 5'7", average build, shaggy chestnut hair, bright sky blue eyes. His clothing is well cut, but suited for traveling, and he has a long gray cloak oiled against the weather. There is a birthmark on his left shoulder of the earth, sea, and skies united. His sword is famous, called the Sword of Light. Was considering it, but I'm trying to get a feel for the "party" before I try running a second character, let alone a female one... I always do those badly.

AGE: Undetermined
RACE: Fallen Angel/Former goddess
APPEARANCE: 5'3", long white hair, tanned skin, dark eyes. Dresses in animal hides commonly, except for special occasions .
PERSONALITY: Very earthy, loyal and passionate. Gets annoyed with disrespectful people.
ETC: Sister to Apollo. Always has an animal following her around, usually a wolf or a boar, sometimes a bear or a rabbit.

APPEARANCE: 5'8", very blonde hair, tanned skin, bright green eyes. Still dresses like a Greek god.
PERSONALITY: Rather tempermental. Doesn't like it when things don't go his way. Gets a bit touchy when it comes to people not recognizing him as a god anymore.
ETC: Brother to Artemis. Some storm clouds seem to gather when he gets upset.

Age: Let's say... 21. Yeah, that's good.
Race: I'm trying her out as a human. Let's see what happens.
Appearance: 5'8", slightly heavier build than average, short reddish-brown hair, dark beady eyes. Dresses practically. Carries an axe.
Personality: Practical, sharp wits sometimes accompanied by a sharp tongue, but she can be quite pleasant if she feels like it. Resourceful and decisive.
ECT: She used to live on a farm where she raised pigs, until a certain fireman who shall remain nameless burned down her house. Just in case you were wondering.

Name: Alexis Soliarous
Age: 18
Race: Human/Sierrian
Appearance: average built with pale skin, jet black hair, and dresses like a working class young man from 1910 or so. Wears a golden signet ring on his right hand. Is armed with a military grade repeating rifle (think a 1913 model) and a six shot revolver
Personality: inquisitve and practical, though he is prone to fits of hysteria. Can be very commanding at times.
ECT: he is descended from the high Kings of his world, making him technically a Crown Prince.

Name: Madison Nocternia
Age: 21
Race: Human/Sierrian
Appearance: very beautiful with tanned skin and bluish black hair. dresses like an aristocrat from the 1910s. Wears a silver diadem around her head with a ruby stone on her forehead. unarmed.
Personality: very friendly and empathetic. she also is very curious. becomes rather dangerous when she becomes angered or upset. she is very loyal and protective, especially of Alexis
ECT: She is the most powerful member of the group. She possesses telekinetic and telepathic powers, the ability to shoot energy, and healing powers. She jealously guards Alexis and is unhealthily possessive of him.

Name: Melissa Lucia
Age: 18
Race: Human/Marinian
Appearance: well toned and athletic. Looks like an Arab or some other type of Middle Easterner with light brown skin and dark brown hair. dresses like a working class girl from 1910
Personality: silent and obediant. She is very loyal to Alexis and of a lesser extant to Madison. She often will act brashly and impulsively, and at times may come off as rude.
ECT: Her family is bound to serve the Royal Family. as such, she acts as Alexis' personal bodyguard and valet; as well as his good friend and advisor. She is skilled with martial arts and can give the illusion of having superstrength and speed, even though she is just a normal girl. She can use anything as a weapon even though she carries a sawed off shotgun, a revolver, hunting knife, and an assortment of switchblade knives and small explosives hidden in pockets sewn into her dress.

NAME: Valance
AGE: 26
RACE: Human
APPEARANCE: 6'4" with an athletic build. Has a jagged scar running down the right side of his face which he received from battle. Has countless other scars on his body but most of them are covered up by the ragged black cloak he wears.
PERSONALITY: Quiet, observant, and extremely cunning when necessary.
ETC: He was once the heir of a warring clan in turmoiled distant lands. Battle was once the only thing he knew but has since abandoned the life of pain and misery after his clan was completely obliterated by an ambush when he was 23. Now he wanders aimlessly as a drunkard. The only thing he keeps with him to remind himself of days long since past is his father's throne sword, with the clan insignia carved into both sides of the blade.

AGE: 18
RACE: Human (American and very proud of her Irish heritage)
APPEARANCE: 5'4, Petite, but curvey. Thick red hair, down the middle of her back, worn in a braid. Big brown eyes, Dusting of freckles. Definately cute, some might say pretty with the possibility of becoming a very beautiful woman. Nice ass, good legs. Modern girl. Jeans, hoodie, riding boots. Has a backpack and a violin strapped to her back.
PERSONALITY: Has the temper to go with the red ahir, but it takes a bit to get her going. Passionate abt music and about many things. A hard worker, willing to pitch in and help. Falls easily into a mothering role. Solution oriented. Wants to 'fix' problems. Very outgoing.
ETC: Recently discovered she can open portals, currently learning the extent of her power. Was on a journey with some others *cough*Finn McCool and Jimmy Finn*cough* to find Jack, the Oak King of the faeries, whom she is currently infatuated with. Skilled musician. Writes music and lyrics. Leader of the band: Red Heroine.

NAME: Morag "Mo" McCormack
AGE: 18
RACE: Human (American and teagan's cousin, though they look like siblings, even twins)
APPEARANCE: 5'6, Slim, androgenous, esp since she favors dressing like a boy from some vintage time. Thick red hair, worn short and spikey. Big brown eyes, Dusting of freckles. Could pass for a cute boy if you don't look too closely. Wearing riding pants and boots, a tweed jacket, white menswear shirt and a hat of some sort of menswear style--fedora? bowler? Has backpack and guitar strapped to her back.
PERSONALITY: No nonsense. Harder edged than Teagan. Some find her more abrasive. She's a little more in your face.
ETC: Travelling with Teagan. has no special skills, except being a musician. Thaty she knows of anyway. Could probably get a few licks in in a fist fight.

NAME: Lyric
AGE: 19
RACE: 1/2 Demon 1/2 Vampire
APPEARANCE: 5'3, Petite with a nice body , Pale Skin, Chocolate Brown Hair (always either in a ponytail or down), Emerald Green Eyes, Wears a black sleeveless top with a purple skirt and black leggings. Has 2 bracelets given to her by her birth parents. Always keeps a backpack with her.
PERSONALITY: shy, quiet and keeps to herself. very nice if you get to know her. not afraid to torture people if they get on her bad side.
ETC: After her birth parents died in a fire she lived by herself in the woods for some time. One day she entered a cave and woke up 1/2 Demon and 1/2 Vampire. She doesn't remember anything that happened before that on that day. Can control elements and people around her. She can unlock different worlds by using a key she found at the bottom of a well. She can also talk to animals.

NAME: Raidon
AGE: 16
RACE: human
APPEARANCE: 5`5" ,long white hair pale skin,male,black leather jacket,white top and black trousers,golden eyes,has got cat ears and a tail
PERSONALITY: quiet,kind,clumsy,smart,loyal

Ect: She was born as a deciple of Bane, whom was a ruler of one of the many abysses, the most popular on being hell. His was called Obliteration. 50 years ago she was exiled from this abyss for slaying Bane's brother.

She has two forms, the link is her human form, her other form is that of a wicked beast; a native look for Obliteration. She has a dark aura about her no matter what form she assumes.

I will go ahead and post this for the benefit of all characters who can sense the difference between good auras and evil. Alexis is descended from a line of kings and queens who were blessed by the gods of goodness and light. However, two hundred years before his birth, the goddess of his world who is the goddess of all things evil took on a mortal form and bore the mortal daughter of the last ruling king. This child was half goddess and half mortal. From her stems Alexis and his mother. Alexis therefore, is not only blessed with pure goodness, but he is tainted by the divine aura of evil that comes from a goddess of darkness. He has both light and dark auras. Although he is pure good, the taint of his goddess ancestor is still visible to anyone who can see aura. That is what Regan has been seeing from time to time. It is possible that some characters who can see or sense auras might pick this up about him. Some might even be able to see Alexis' divine heritage. Niether Alexis himself nor his companions are aware of this, however.
