Hey, guys! I know that NaNoWriMo is something that people of all ages participate in, and I completely admire and respect everyone who participate in the great race to 50k. I know that everyone faces their own challenges to complete their novel, but I think it's really awesome for young writers to do it, too.

:D If anyone wants to introduce themselves or try to organize a special just for teens write-in or anything, maybe you'd want to take some time to get to know some fellow teen NaNo participants.

I myself am 15 and this is my second year doing NaNo. I didn't finish last year because my old laptop died right in the middle of the month. :[

Anyone else who is trying to do this I really wish luck to! Another thing I learned was that everyone here is really nice, so don't be afraid to ask questions. ^_^ Have fun, guys.

Hi, I'm Luna, and I'm thirteen.
This seems like a lot of fun, and a just for teens write-in might be kinda fun...A write in is when you meet and all write and bounce ideas off of people, right? I'm still new...
Do you think that we have more trouble writing, 'cause of school and stuff?
Ooh. That's too bad about your laptop...I hope you can finish this year!

Hi, Luna! It is a lot of fun. It's a ton of craziness, but it's definitely worth it.

:D Yeah. Good luck on your first year of NaNo.

I'm not sure if we have more, but definitely presents challeneges. I mean we have school and homework and friends and chores and all of that, but other people have to deal with kids and work and cooking and all of that stuff.

The hardest thing is just being able to find time to write and keep everything else in balance, too. xD I think my school work might have suffered a bit last year because of my devotion to NaNo.

Thank you! I hope that I can, too.

A teen's only write-in would be awsome. I don't know too many people that write, and those that do...are Twilight fanatics. I can't stand their writing. Also they never give me feed-back on mine, so a write-in would be awsome! I'm fifteen too, and this is my first year, though I've been writing for ages.

xD Ah the Twilight discussion.
I read Twilight like...four? Five years ago?
So by the time everyone was asking "Have you read Twilight? Have you read Twilight?" I was just like "Yes. Years ago."
And I like it, but OH MY GOODNESS. The screaming "I will marry Edward Cullen" fans have basically killed it for me.

I've been writing since I was like...seven myself.
If you guys have any details about when might be a good day for a write-in or time, we can try to work something out. I know it's hard because most of us probably have easy transportation.

I read them just so I could understand what came out of my friends mouths. But the lady cannot write. I hated it.

Well, where in the area does everyone live? That way we can meet up somewhere that works for everyone. I'm in Arlington.

Hey, Erika. Good luck!

I'm in Manassas. I can get almost anywhere on weekends, but during the week is a different issue. ^_^ Until I can drive at least.

Though I'm risking sounding really peppy, good luck everyone! Nice to see that other teens write tons too!

Weekends would be best for me. So perhaps a Saturday, since some people will have church?

I'm doing stuff this Saturday too. Also it's pretty soon. So next Saturday. But where? And what time frame? I'm thinking sometime in the afternoon, to give people (me) time to sleep in.

Anyone got any ideas on where?

No idea just yet. I need to clear some things with my mom first, but I'll try to find somewhere. Hopefully I'll have some ideas by tomorrow. If you have any suggestions or anything, it'd be great to hear them.

I love your username! Do you like Greco-Roman mythology/literature too? :)

As for everyone else: I'm close to the mixing bowl area... sprinfield/farifax and such. I think weekends would obviously be best for everyone here, unless some one else has an idea.

Hey, guys! I'm Phoebe and I'm 14.

And I live in McLean (lets go small towns~) , which is right near Tyson's Corner.

Anyway, I finished last year super early, and I'm willing to bet things won't go as great this year :|

The one in Tysons I mall.

That's the only one I really know in the area. Sometime in the afternoon sounds pretty good.
