How about we meet-up in a pub say, the encourage each other over the first week?
How about thursday?
Winchester or Soton? Personally I would prefer winchester.
I could do either 7pm winch or 8pm soton, depending which people prefer.
Thoughts?

I'd prefer Soton until I figured out how the train system works in the UK ;)

I've organised four write-ins at the community centre where I work. They are on the four Thursdays of November from 7-9 pm. We can have the use of 12 PCs so all you need to bring is a memory stick. Address is - Warren Centre, Shirley Warren, Southampton, SO16 6BR. Parking is in school playground-entrance in Warren Crescent; disabled parking and access is from Chestnut Road. There's a charge of £1 per session to cover the cost of the room hire. It would help if you could let me know if you intend to come. Thanks.

I'd love to come! Can you maybe explain to a newblet how I can get to the community center easily via public transport? Google Maps does not have public transport stops listed and I no car. I come from the central area of S'ton.

Is the Warren Centre in Shirley Warren School? Cos I know where the school is, and the Church, but am not sure about the Warren Centre.
Will do my very best to be there! It would help me focus on writing and not finding things to do around the house to distract me!

I sadly have rehearsals on a Thursday... but I may skip one and come :) I don't know how to get to Shirley or where First buses go from... do the uni-link buses go there? Because that would be amazing!

The U6 goes to the hospital, it's probably a 10-15 minute walk from there. I shall time it tomorrow and let you. I live just down the road from the hospital and my car decided to pack up today, if it was summer I would walk but as it's dark and chilly these days I was going to be a lazy so and so and drive but that plan has been nixed.

The Warren Centre is between Shirley Warren Primary School and the Action Church. It's almost in the school playground - car park is shared by the centre and the school. Hope you find it.

Greetings fellow aspiring novelists!
I'm a Southampton student and I am officially attempting NaNo this year. I'd love to attend if I can. Is it hard to get to from the University Campus?
Hopefully see you on Thursday.

Hi Rebecca,
You need to get the U6 to the hospital. It's about a 15 minute walk after that, which I did last week and was fine. If you walk down coxford road and then at the bottom of the road at the mini roundabouts turn left onto Warren Avenue, Then down sycamore road which is on the right and then left onto Chestnut Road, The Warren Centre is about half way along.
If your coming you could let me know what time the bus is expected and we can meet up and walk together so you know where you are going.

Could we organise a meet-up that's not in a pub? Because I'm 14 and though I'd realy like to meet some people I can't go into a pub (and I'm actually from Portsmouth.) Anyone?

Note for Anfaenger (and anyone else wanting to travel from central Southampton to the Warren Centre this evening) -
Karma1987 has given good directions from the hospital and useful links to bus timetables. Thanks. The 10 and 10a buses from town go from behind Primark, outside the Slug and Lettuce on Above Bar Street and outside central library. They go along Shirley High Street, then Winchester Road, and turn left into Warren Avenue. Get off at the second stop in Warren Avenue (ask the driver for Chestnut Road). Walk along Chestnut Road. The Warren Centre is on the lefthand side just past the school.
