No results on the Leader Board yet - the first lot are due tomorrow night. (I can say that there are some excellent word counts being clocked up already though!)

This is the thread for word-war-related chatter/banter/slagging though, as well as being where I will post results every 3rd day.

Play nice now...

Don't we always? ;-)

I wish we could do proper smileys in here!

Do you want to set a 'special' one-day wordcount for us to aim for this year?

Can't wait to see how everything's stacking up tomorrow afternoon! (I'm five hours behind and all, so unless you're putting it up really late...)

Smilies, yes, but I'd be happy with a formatting bar too. HTML is beginning to annoy me. x[

'Special' one-day count? I don't think I've ever done that before, but if people really want me to.... I'll have a look at the average daily counts being produced perhaps around mid-month and then challenge people for Sunday 15th with a count that's achievable but not too insane?

Wow, I'm really lettin the side down here - and I don't think my 8hrs behind time zone makes up for it!! I'll forge ahead anyhow and hopefully fire out a few days worth of words on Wed when I've the day off...

I have to say, writin for the North East really does put a smile on my face every time I sit down to bang the keys! =)

With your record, Brendan, I am sure the flow will start in due course!

Hope all goes well with you over there. Good to hear from you.

Dublin in general has burst into activity. Every time look at the 'Regional info' (above) there are more Wrimos joining the region - most of them first-timers.

Was it just that Onyva said she would do something ridiculous in one day, though not specifying which day?

Yay! We're in the lead :D That write-in today really helped me boost my word count, but I'm bowing at the feet of Spiritwolf. WE'RE NOT WORTHY, WE'RE NOT WORTHY! (Okay, I'm hyper.)

Yay! Leinster is second! Dublin may be fast on our heels, but I think we can match them, and hopefully take the No. 1 spot too.

Oh, but well done Connaught for coming first place! All of you must be bursting out with novels ^_^ Soon, there's going to be an explosion of Irish writers from Connaught if your word count is anything to go by.

I like that Connaught are winning despite having the least amount of writers!

It's done on averages, arecibo, so you're actually better off having less writers. :(
And you need to give some serious kudos to Orockthro and skillage, as well as Spiritwolf - they too have pretty impressive counts for Connaught already!

Oh, boy, I'm on a strong team. Thanks, Spiritwolf! And Skillage! And everyone else, too of course.

Feeling slightly ashamed of my bang-on average (or a little more) now, but then it is my first novel. Or, at least, the first one I'm actually working at.

Don't feel ashamed about being close to target (or even below target).

Everyone's word count helps the team out. The zero word counts are temporary (I hope).

Just keep on writing and don't look back (at least not until after December 1 or the TGIO party whichever comes first :) ).

Yeah - what Imizutani said!

Plus I'm doing OK at the moment, but I've never done this before so I'll probably fade later. And the main reason I'm pushing hard now is that I know the weekend is largely a wipeout for me.

I like the team thing though - it's way more motivating for me than individual wordcounts

Come on Munster, I just upped my word count significantly. When is the next count?

This is helping me actually update my word count every day. And helping out the team is very inspiring.

It is just that we can feel her spirit hovering over the Connacht region, urging them on, even if same spirit has not left her body. :-P

I was away last weekend and will be on the east coast in NC and Va for the holiday at the end of the month so no excuses now other than sheer laziness and been a bleeding eejit.

Fingers are revved up and brain is awake for once and it is a very rare thing that both happen at once, going to be a productive day if I manage to ignore the threads and shoot the phone before anyone calls to ask a favour haha.

Mamo, you're a bleedin champ.
