What a turnout for the Kick-Off Party! I'm delighted and thrilled and all manner of adjectives! And why not? Enthusiasm flowed more freely than the beer -- and that's saying something when the party is at the Capital Ale House.
Speaking of the Capital Ale House, I'll repeat the great news we Richmond Wrimos got last night: During the month of November, if you come to the Capital Ale House in Midlothian to write, set up your laptop or notebook, mention NaNoWriMo, and you'll get a free soft drink of coffee! Yup, refillable sodas, iced teas, and coffee on tap for the dedicated writer. There's a nifty room upstairs that's usually quiet, and it's a great place to hang out and write. (Limited availability if a private party books that space.) This policy might be expanded company wide, which means you can take advantage of this Capital Ale House offer downtown and in the West End as well. Yay!
Look for the schedule of write-ins to be announced soon. Look out for a post on the First Line Challenge in the next day or two, too!
Now get off the forums and write. That's where I'm heading ...
