I thought I'd let you know that I created a facebook group for us. It's called Lawrence, KS Nanowrimo Group. If you're on facebook, come join us! Or me, at this point, since I am the only member right now.

I thought it might be fun to have an alternate place to visit, just in case the Nano site is down, or if you want to post pictures or have more informal discussions. We can use it as much or as little as we want, but I thought it might be nice for us to have a facebook home, as well.
EDIT (by Ted): due to some network restrictions, we've had to recreate the group. The link above has been updated to reflect our second attempt at this venture.

Sara, great idea with the Facebook group - there's just one problem! Right now it's set so only people in the KU network can join, and unfortunately some of us can't join the KU network - since I never went to KU ;) I can only assume that's what's going on, since I can't join the group and I can't even search for it - I can get there via your link but that's it. Is there a way you can open it up so all of us can join?

I've had to create another group from scratch (Facebook won't let you change the network status after the group is created. I HATE Facebook!), so here's the link to the new group:

It was actually Kansas network, not KU network, I guess I (wrongly) assumed that everyone associated with the Lawrence, Kansas region would be part of the Kansas network. Sorry about that. Ted fixed it.

That's actually the problem Sara - Facebook did away with city/state regions a while back. So the Kansas network -is- the KU network - if you type in Kansas, it comes up with Kansas: Lawrence, KS and won't let you join unless you have a KU email and all that good, old fashioned facebook stuff. It doesn't actualy SAY the "University of Kansas" network but that's what it is!
