I'll do good until I reach 25k, then it will be a problem.

But you guys have 3k and 1k, so it's a start as well.

2, almost 3k!!

I think that I'm going to get the bulk of my writing done on the weekdays though.

Congrats to all! Houston is #28 on the scoreboard!

Just hit 10k about two minutes ago.

If I keep this up, I'm going to try to reach something even more ambitious than 50k. Actually, at this pace, stopping at 50k would be lame, especially since I know I'm not even going to be close to finishing my book by then. I'm probably not even a third of the way through the first section yet, and it should be the shortest of four sections I have planned. I'm probably going to need at least 150-250k to finish my story.

This is shaping up to be a good year.

Edit: 20k!

Edit: 35k! I plan to try to hit 50k at tomorrow's write-in, if it is still happening. (Someone posted about a Saturday write-in being canceled, and I'm not sure if that's the same thing as the one at the Black Lab Pub or not.) Wish me luck, fellow Lushguins!

Edit: Booyeah! Done!

This year is going to be my first win. I'm well past the pace for it so far, and I have almost my entire plot planned out in advance.

Heading for 6, possibly 7, k before I finally pass out from exhaustion.

But 5k is good too.

I'm not as far along as some of you, but I'm pretty happy with my 3900, considering it's been my best attempt at Nano since 2005. ^_^

I just topped 6k & am SO EXCITED! I can't remember the last time I wrote this much in a creative work, so it's definitely a landmark for me!

lol my goal for today would bring me to at LEAST 15k. I have just under 5k to go. I don't like being behind my own schedule, and today is a day off. A day I am hiding at a friends house so no one can find me to bug me. XD

Now back to my novel...

Wow you guys are doing awesome! I'm super thrilled to be right on schedule with 5k, it's probably the most fiction I've ever written on one piece. Plus my husband is really enjoying reading along so it helps keep me motivated! I'm hoping to stick with the 1667 words/day to finish right at the end of November. My book is chick lit and I think it being too long would almost be as much of a folly as not finishing it!

How's this for interesting. A lot of my friends/family are asking me what my book is about. I am great at chit chat but usually find it hard to put more complicated things out there verbally (written word I'm fine at). I think writing this story and choosing to verbally explain it to others is helping me gain confidence in speaking my mind/more complicated thoughts. Weird, huh?

Ladybug, not that wierd. I find myself thinking about my stories while driving downtown to work (sometimes even talking to myself).

9K, maybe I can make 10 by tonight, if I'm able to pick up some time to write again.
