Hello NoAL and special hi to Amy and Bryan. You guys are lucky. You have great MLs. I'm here in good ol' St. Louis (U City to be exact) joining another NaNo group. I feel like I'm cheating (am I Amy? Bryan?).
I made some friends in 2004. Some of my first NoAl friends to be exact (Amy and Bryan). I had moved from OK and was procrastinating like hell after finishing grad school. Met Amy and Bryan and others. Talked too much during write-ins. But certainly enjoyed them. And actually accomplished the goal the first two years.
Finished NaNo the first year. And the second (i think) but not the third. Then didn't make it in 2007 either. But enjoyed the parties and goodie bags.
Now I'm off to another group in St. Louis. Forgot about it until I looked at calendar. Really didn't plan on it. But, well, you know...it becomes an addiction, doesn't it. And you say, yes, this year, this November will be THE one....
Well, anyway, I'll check and see how you guys are doing. And hope I meet some writers in the process here in the Arched City. Won't be the same, but...need to find a 'writing home' again. At least for the month of November ;)
Oh, BTW, I had to register again. New email,etc. I think I was armyriter in NoAL or riterwings, don't recall. Maybe you do.
But this year, I'm Iggys Girl. Iggy being a new beagle pup, Iggy Pup, so yes, I'll be training the dog, as well as writing. You know, you can never have too much to do in November, holidays, work, being the 'dog whisperer,' and all...
