Would Celebrities Kill us if....

I want in my story for my MC to have started a correspondence with David Thewlis (Remus Lupin) and through him, the rest of the Harry Potter films' cast, as a sort of side plot because the MC hates the fact no matter where he goes people poke fun at him for having Remus as his first name whether for historical reasons or Harry Potter books and films. Should i not or would they not really care?
