Alrighty folks!
I am proposing a Shreveport/Bossier area writing this Saturday (11/7/09) from 4:30 to 8 p.m. (because that's the time they close) at Cupcake Gallery -7436 Youree Dr in Shreveport.
I've already asked permission there and they said come on by. They have free internet and cupcakes as well. They don't have sandwiches or anything so if you want something other than cupcakes, eat first.
Also, can someone please set up a write-in in Bossier? Maybe at Books-A-Million? Wanna make sure we alternate.
How do you guys feel about write-ins during the week? Do you want me to see if we can have one sooner that Saturday?

I'll probably be there on Saturday. We're coming in to do some family stuff and will be in town for most of the day so I'll try to stop by for at least a little bit. I will need a power source, though. I don't have a battery for my laptop.

I had intended to at least be at the morning one and wanted to try to make both. But I'm really not feeling well and it's not looking real promising for me. I have post concussive syndrome from a car accident at the end of August and I thought I'd be able to work through it enough to at least do Nano this year. But I'm so far behind right now that it is not looking very good at all. Hopefully I can make one or both of the write-ins next weekend if I don't make either tomorrow.

I tried... my friend and I were there early, but when I tried to turn on my laptop, the screen was... um... not working. I could see the desktop, barely, but it's like the screen's light wouldn't come on or something. Anyways, it was pointless to stay. And since I don't know when I'll be getting it fixed (or if), I probably won't be making any write-ins this time around. Sigh.

The CupCake Gallery, though, was a great meeting spot. If things work out next weekend, I will try to go back.

There were a couple of us at the write-in at the Barnes & Noble at 10:00. I got about 1200 words but did enjoy my time there.
I will not be able to come next Saturday but plan to be at the Barnes and Noble write-in on the 21st. Hope to see you there. If you have the one at the Cupcake Gallery. But would not be able to stay too long. need to make sure I can make it back to Natchitoches before it got too late.
I ended up with over 3500 words total for today.
