I'm a work at home mom and would love to attend a write-in during the day. I live in central SA, not too far from the Quarry. Any others in a similar situation, either geographically or time wise? I'm going to try and go the the Forum write in on Thursday evening, but that is dependent on getting after school care for the kids until hubby gets home later.

Yes! I work part-time from home, am free during the day, and live around Olmos Park. We should start something for our side of town! Maybe Tuesdays or Wednesdays? Anyone else interested, please post!

I am free Monday-Thursday anytime before 2:30. I would be interested in meeting somewhere near the Quarry as well.

I drive by the Quarry every afternoon and would happily stop in and write. Wednesdays might be problematic for me but otherwise I'm pretty flexible.

Ok, well, between Wednesdays and before 2:30pm...

I'll camp out at the coffee/table area in Borders from about 12:30pm on tomorrow, if any one would like to join. I'll have an alphasmart with me, sooo.... just look for the weirdo typing on the magic keyboard!

Great. Let's try tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3 at the Quarry Borders at 12:30. If nothing else, that can be a good lunch break writing time. Amanda, if you can't make it at this time, what times are good for you? Maybe we can see if we can get a couple going.

Oooh, just saw this. I'm one of those moms too. Can I join you? 12:30 Borders at the Quarry? I think I can make it. I'll be the one with stone-age pad and paper. (I'm quicker that way with a first draft.)

Hello All,
I am extremely new to this Wrimo thing and would enjoy meeting a few people who are vets or simply new like myself. I am in the NW side of town, but would be interesting to venture out to the Quarry. I am a homeschool mom, so I can be flexible when need be. How will I be able to find you people?? I don't won't to go around asking are you a Wrimo or a Nanoite. I usually go to Starbucks at the Quarry, I'm not sure of the layout at the Border there. Just give me some direction as to where you guys will be.

@Micki: Of course, of course! The more the merrier!

@Tamfred: If you'd like to travel, then go for it! I know the Forum is way far away from me, and I also put mega-miles on my Yaris cause I live downtown. The Borders is in main central building, multi-levels, big signs, on the left end when facing from 281. It's also easy to get there from the road that goes behind the Quarry. The movie theatre and Bally's are also in that same building. When you enter Borders from the front, the cafe is off in the back left corner of the ground floor.

I'll have an alphasmart, which is a digital wordprocessor, and I guarantee I'll be the only one. ;-) I'll also see if I can conjure up some sort of Purple Pumpkin as a signal too, but won't make any guarantees.

YAY!

Oops! Looks like I missed this one. Too busy noveling to check the boards. Not. How did it go? When's the next one?

It was pretty chill. There were four of us, just bouncing ideas off each other. We're going to do it again next week, for anyone who's interested.

I think the next event is the Official Fundraising event at Hearthstone Bakery in the Forum (like I-35?) It would be super ironic if everyone was actually referring to this forum. I haven't read all the other threads to know when other people are meeting, but I think some people are at UTSA.

:-)

Hi All!
I just joined today. Was afraid to commit, though I'd already started writing. I'm available Wed-Fri in the afternoons and will most likely head out to Borders those days as well around the same time. Maybe we could just make it a "go to spot" for those who need to get some support at any time?

@yduck: No prob! I need to not eat all of it! The laffy taffy has become a compulsion while driving.

@superkaeka: I won't be able to make it this Friday, but I'll try to be around more during the week.

Ooooo, we're on the calendar! Thanks, Toggy!
