I was wondering if anyone would be willing to participate in a Jupiter Write In I'm planning. I talked with a Joe Muggs (coffee shop in Books a Million) employee and he said it would be no problem if I hosted a write in there.

It's in Chasewood Plaza which is in Jupiter but if you it only takes about 15 minutes to commute from Palm Beach Gardens if you take I-95. I'll post more detailed directions if people are interested.

I was thinking this Sunday, the 8th, but if that isn't a good day I can push it back to the next weekend.

Open to any and all suggestions :) I attended a write-in for my second NaNo and thought it was so much fun so I'd love to organize one this year. ^_^

That's a little far out of my way but then again from Loxahatchee, everything is out of the way ;). Sunday is a good for me. I'll try and get there. :)

I'm in. I think I've been to that Books A Million. Just give directions and a particular time and you'll see my face there.

Also... Shall we color-coordinate ourselves again? I'd vote orange shirts. lol

Heh, that'd be an 1.5 hours for me. =)
I had so much fun at the last one though that I might just be up for it.
I work a weird weekend schedule so It would have to be Sat the 7th (lunchtime or later) or the following Sunday (15th). On Sundays I could show up around 3:00 but you can start earlier like last time. I just would want someone to hang with me for a while after I got there. I'm glad I didn't miss all the fun yesterday!

Of course, If my timeframe doesn't work for everyone don't hold up on my account. It's really fun!

Anyhoo, I'll keep checking the thread to see what comes it.

Cheers,
Kimberly

I'd be game. Jupiter's a bit of a drive, but the last one was super close to me, so I'd be willing to drive a little.

Unfortunately I have a rotating work schedule and am working a monstrous shift on Saturday. But if this goes well maybe we can orchestrate another one the following weekend :D

How about we meet at 3pm? I don't know how long write ins typically last (haven't been to one for a few years) but knowing me I'll be there till they kick me out (my usual routine). I figure in addition to writing we could set aside a little time to introduce ourselves and our stories.

Exact address :

561-743-8094
6370 West Indiantown Rd.
Jupiter, FL 33458

Either plug it in to google maps or message me and I'll help you find it. I'll also be putting up a huge, brightly colored sign in the window. haha. It's a really, really nice place with really kind, helpful employees. (And I have a discount card for the book store and coffee shop that I'm willing to whore out).

I also totally dig the color-cordination, and orange shirts. I have an orange Clockwork Orange (lol) shirt that would be appropriate for the occasion.

Any more thoughts or comments? I'm really excited about this :D

It doesn't have to be a huge group of people. 3 or 4 might work just well, considering that most of the time we'll have our noses buried in our laptops, typing away.

I'm right in South Stuart so Jupiter's not a problem.. but is there any chance of a write in for a weekday? Maybe Friday 11/13 in the evening? or afternoon.eveing on the 21st or 22nd ;) I work midnight's on a rotating schedule so daytime is kinda tough for me ;) This is my second year doing NaNo, last year I made it, but didn't go to any events... would love to make one this year.

I'm interested. I live in the northend of the county too. Is this sunday 11/8 at 3 the date and time to be there?

Yes. Sunday 11/8 at 3 pm.

Friday the 13th sounds like a good day to do another write-in. I don't have classes so it's definitely something I'd be game for.

That's a five minute walk from where I live. :) I'll definitely try to make it. Now, I haven't read the entirethread yet, but I'm wondering how are we going to identify each other? Just walk up to randoms and say "Hey NaNo-er." or should we all where comfy sweat pants and red shirts or something?

Sunday at 3 works for me. I'll totally be there. The Books-A-Million is on Indiantown Rd, right? I'm from Lake Worth, so I'm not super familiar with the area, but Google maps is my friend. And should we do the same thing as last time? Red or blue shirts?

Yes it is on Indiantown Rd.

Orange shirts were suggested but if those are hard to attain maybe something more generic like blue would be good.

The idea was to go all ROY G BIV... But whatev. The red shirt thing really helped last time, I think.

Hmm, I don't know if I have an orange shirt. If I don't, I'll just do red again, I suppose.

This is depressing. This will be the 2nd that I have to miss, I've got to travel up to PSL on Sunday. We should try for one Monday or Tuesday as well.

Urgh, looks like I'm going to have to miss this one after all. My boss just revised the schedule, and it turns out I have to work after all. Thanks for the notice (not). Let me know about any plans for future meet-ups, though.

I totally enjoyed this write in, even though fewer people showed up. Book A Million is an awesome place to sit down and write. The atmosphere is just right.
