I was just stalking the forums while I was procrastinating and noticed that there was at least one more person who was writing Young Adult/Middle Grade fiction.

So… I was curious if anyone else was writing something they consider YA/MG as well?
Are you finding it to be as difficult (or easy) as you thought?

Mine will probably end up qualifying, though I'm not making that my goal. I'm working a different flavor this year, mixing a hint of Lewis Carrol and a dash of J.M. Barrie into a creamy whipped base of Baum and George MacDonald.

Pure fluff, but hopefully with a bit of spice.

I'm not this year, but I have before. It's easier for me than adult fiction. Probably because it's what I spend all my time reading.

Word count can get you, if you write middle grade fiction. My better Nano, where I was doing a mid-grade mystery, ended up being the mystery and its sequel to reach 50K. Still was fun though.
