A little shameless advertising... thanks to Shawn for the go-ahead... :o)
For those of you who are up for a little bit of cross-medium artistic inspiration, Thorneloe University is opening its its 2009-2010 theatre season beginning this weekend with Lanford Wilson's "Book of Days"***.
The production is staged, acted, crewed and other by students in Laurentian/Thorneloe Universities' theatre programs (including yours truly), and directed by Patricia Tedford, a professor in the program. Much of the crew is also made up of students from Cambrian College's technical production program.
Performances:
Friday November 6th - 8 pm
Saturday Nov. 7th - 8 pm
Sunday Nov. 8th - 2pm (matinee)
Thursday Nov. 12th - 8pm
Friday Nov. 13th - 8pm
Saturday Nov. 14th - 8pm
Tickets are 10$ for adults and 5$ for students or seniors (an excellent price for a live show--the running joke among students is that this time, it costs less than a movie), and can be procured by calling Thorneloe's Box Office (705-673-1730 ext. 0), at the Laurentian University Bookstore or at the door.
Be on the lookout for posters around town, my contribution to the "tech/crew" angle :o) , and also for free spaces in your schedules... perhaps the twisting plot of this little play will spark the creative juices and inspire your next chapter?
Hope to see you there!
--Rebecca
***Warning: the play contains mature content and language.
