Again, another fun topic I remember. Let's hear the body count and who will no longer be making an appearance in our insane (but awesomely epic) novels.

At the moment, I have no deaths, but plenty of corpses since my MC works in a morgue.

At the beginning of my novel it has been over eight years since the suicide of main character's father. And that's just the start of the body count. I'm just about to add two more to the pile....though I can't mention the one....

If mechanical monstrosities count I have 1 so far. There'll be blood spilled soon though. Oh yes very soon... Mwahahaha!

About thirteen people dead in one story.

Note, I'm writing a bunch of short stories.

I haven't decided yet if I want my protagonist's love interest to die or to just leave. Other than that, no body count so far.

Three more named people are dead by the hands of the antagonist, plus a whole town of people. The antagonist might be dead as well, but the hero isn't too sure about this.

One named dead, plus a whole shuttle-load of people. But there should be about 6 more named by the end of the day. Except that I'm starting to like them! They'll just have to die for the cause.

Okay, the best friend is officially dead, with the main character witnessing it. Or the tail end of it rather. And one other is dead, but no one knows it yet.

I have my first ?death?. I'm writing a book populated by vampires so I don't know if a vampire dying is technically a death but he isn't getting back up again. In addition, I know it's cliche but a bunch of vampires just threw a production of Sweeney Todd where all the victims were played by humans.

A minor antagonist just got killed by a Hydra, and then a bunch of townsfolk (all humanoid reptiles) decided to eat the Hydra, so it's dead, too.

Yay! First intentional deaths acomplished at the write in. I killed my MCs parents. They're a little all over the place... A little here... A little there... All over her apartment.

Here's my latest list of deaths:
-A carnivorous buffalo-type creature
-A bunch of pygmies, who were responsible for the buffalo's death
-Some giant terrible birds, who were responsible for the pygmy deaths

Okay, another bit the dust in my novel. The guy responsible for the MC's best friend's death was just killed....by the MC and a ghost.

One of the last stories I did the MMC killed a soldier type guy. And stole his armor to

My MC in the latest story killed four guards and one normal man. He also stole the guard's clothes then stole the normal man's clothes.

I have a number of characters who are scheduled to die, but I haven't written any of their death scenes yet.
I have had one character find his (former) boss' severed foot, though.

Of course it stinks. That's why it's called a FIRST draft.

At the write-in tonight, during one of the 15 writing sprints, I killed off four more characters. Granted, three of them didn't even have names...The MC's boss was killed in a robbery, and that did not make the MC happy. So um...yeah, he killed the three robbers.

Hmmm...the first body to show up in my novel was about four pages in (it IS a murder mystery, though), and my MC found the second about twenty pages ago. A few more will probably bite the proverbial dust before I'm through, though. And my MC's love interest MAY go...but I don't think so. I want him around for future books, ha ha ;)

See what about a week with no internet will do (other than make my word count graphs look crazy!)? ha ha!

The only thing I've killed in recent days is a robot. I'm counting him among the dead, though I'm not entirely sure an artificial being counts. Also, that Hydra I said that was killed turned up alive. Granted, it may have lost a few heads (which would only cause it to gain more heads).

I have my first death.... well murder really. But it hasn't been investigated yet, I had a flashback to get through first. But today I think we get our first look at the remains.

Since the write-in, one of my antagonists has gone insane and has decided to kill and eat people to gain their power. So far, he's eaten the other antagonist, a random guard, and a science officer.

Twenty-eight die in one flashback, fully half the crew of the 'Seven Sisters' out of Pleadies Station.

All of this was accomplished to establish the Captain's reputation as having no mercy when it comes to mutineers and pirates.

I'm especially proud of the twenty-three that died after sealing themselves in the engine room, and threatening to blow up the ship. Concussive charges tore a hole in the hull outside their chamber, bludgeoning some and asphyxiating the rest.

I'm still trying to decide which of the Main Characters will die... if I didn't have source material that I'm trying to 'bend', as opposed to starting from scratch, my MC would be high on the list. As it is, he'll probably have to live...I don't plan on writing a sequel, though, so there's still a chance.

Another death! My MC went a little antagonistic/anti-hero and killed one of the lower ranking villians in my story.
