How did day two go for everyone? Assuming many of us had to go back to work/school/etc after the weekend of just NaNoing to our hearts content....how did you all manage?

I actually wasn't planning on writing tonight- I wrote extra on the weekend because I had a work late...but I still got home and wrote another 400 words! Not a huge amount, but it felt good!

Good, good, good. Getting back into that sweet groove of writing again. I don't outline. Just create characters and set them loose. That leaves all day for worrying about what is happening to them, and all night to let it flow into the keyboard.

Good luck, all!

Thank you for starting a new thread! lol We think alike.

Good for you on the additional words and planning ahead! I didn't crank out as much as you over the weekend, but I did get one day ahead and then wrote again during my lunch today. I'll probably add a few hundred more words now just to keep my one day cushion intact. My plan is to write some during every lunch hour during the week that I can. Today I was at the Range Cafe looking geeky. Not sure where I'll be tomorrow, but I'm taking the laptop everywhere.

Still pretty pumped here!

I did pretty good today despite work and Derek Jeter distracting me tonight. I am ahead of schedule and pretty proud of that. May still get some more writing in tonight and keep ahead of schedule. I found myself thinking about my characters at work and then just let it flow tonight. It is interesting how the plot progresses enough to even surprise me, keeps it entertaining that way!

Good luck everyone else.

Keeping pace at the very least. Managed to knock out most of quota at Satellite, which as expected, as crammed full of undergrads. Makes me a bit nervous to not be able to find a plug in there.

I'm probably going to keep trying to write before going to bed, as I am somewhat of a night owl - which is a problem as my work schedule is not.

I somehow managed to arrange my syllabi so I started NaNo under a series of massive piles of papers to grade, so I've fallen behind on wordcount. But once I do get the papers under control, the fact that I have my laptop with me everywhere I go gives me freedom to work on wordcount. I can give the class a self-directed activity, take care of class-related bookkeeping type stuff, and then work on cranking out words between stages of the lesson.

As of last night, I had finally caught up (with 3980 words), so I'm feeling good. I've got a lot of big stuff coming up in school, and as I've stated before, I am trying to find a new job, but hopefully I'll manage.

I'm determined to finish this year, so I'll squeeze in writing when I can. Like riding the Rapid Ride across town to school on Mondays, Wednesdays and maybe Fridays. That always gives my wordcount a boost.

I've been doing my writing early in the morning before starting my day, and I've been surprised at how quickly and easily it all comes out. This morning I've been procrastinating, but I'm about to jump back on it, and I'm still ahead of the game. So far writing at home is working for me, but I've had the last 2 mornings off, so we'll see what happens tomorrow. I haven't tried writing in the evenings yet, and I don't imagine it'll be too productive for me, I'm usually too tired after work to think straight.

Doing good.

The writing is a lot of fun, but there's all this other stuff in my life like school and work.

I haven't started writing yet, as I've been too busy. But I plan to! ^_^

I'm behind in my word count (no surprises there), but I'm getting into my story. I'm two hours early to the write-in, so I oughta get a good count today.

I am really behind! Got about 1200 words (I think). I've written here on my big laptop but I take the little guy to work with me and try to crank out a bit during lunch. Usually that's really effective but not so far. I'll pick it up tho.

appreciate the writing groups - at Frontier & Border's. 1000 words a day are gonna be a challenge. It's fun though.
