Strops, I'm planning to do Tin Shed Trapeze after for andrea. (100, 000 words and two novels). Don't forget I'm not working or studying, so I have seven hours during the day in which to write.

Oh! Now it makes sense! I was wondering what happened to Tin Shed Trapeze.

Well, looks like I'm making today a slow day while I sort out the intricacies of the plot. But now I'm done that.

AND AWAY!

I gave up on my first idea. That was though the muse abandoned me before Nano started and i really didn't feel like forcing it.

I am yet to begin this mental adventure and I personally have no plans to give up I am going to start tonight try get 5 or 10 thousand words down to get with everyone else (I joined earlier today). I just never imagined I would be spending my friday nights writing at the age of 16 but anyway. as long as you give it a go!

Good luck you two! I'm 22 and am spending my days writing away. I work at night, but still manage to come home at 11 and jot down a few hundred words. I can't say I have much of a social life, but writing is only for a month!

Well me mum is very busy so if your mum does the same amount of stuff my mum does it is understandable that she quite haha My mum was going to do it when I told her but she doesn't really have the time this year but she said she really wants to do it next year so that's good for her I s'pose as for me I again say I am not quitting and even though I started on the 5th I am thinking I will hit the 50,000 before the month is out *smiles*

OMG Franz!! Noooo!! Our lives will be so much the poorer.

I wrote about 2k on day one, trashed it because I wasn't having fun. Started a new idea, stopped after 1k because it felt weird. Started again at a crawler's pace and it's mostly just rambling but I'm having a lot of fun demolishing any sense of structure. I'm not so much writing a novel as smashing apart any sort of mental inhibition or limitation that my internal editor's been holding in place for the past two years. Feels good :)

Not I. My life has just been insanely busy. Fear not, though - I'll make it through by the end of the month! :)

I have a written some...I just have not uploaded it yet as it is such a pitiful amount, and I feel better on 0. But I knew last week would be the busiest. This week I have no essays, no assignments, and only two exams to study for. Considerably less excuses. I will make it! (I will, I will, I will...)

I've dropped out--I'm really isolated and can't get to many write-ins, and this has had a pretty negative effect on the writing. I hope to pick it up next year.

I almost gave up at one point. As I stared at least 5 days late, I've been trying to catch up quickly. But with being only 15, I have this annoying thing called "School" to worry about. And as next week I have exams, and the week after my VCE orintation, I don't see myself achieveing NaNo =( But I shalt give up! I must carry on!

There was only one day when I was thinking of quitting.

Now I'm over the 50k mark though, I don't have that much motivation to continue writing - I may just wrap things up as quickly as I can. Lotsa loose ends still, though.

Hey,
After marking VCE papers this year, am so far behind the eight ball, it has disappeared. Am sitting at around 8k - any point in continuing? have about three stories unfolding, nothing is hinging together and the only common thread is the main character...any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
cheers!
