It's Day 3 and we should all be around 5,000 words or so to stay on track. I make a challenge to all Lubbock writers to have at least 5,000 words by the end of today! (myself included)

Stop procrastinating....get writing!

I totally agree with this. I'm almost at five thousand right now, about two hundred to go but I'm nowhere near being done for today.

C'mon, Lubbock writers! You can do it! 5k by the end of today!

I'll be there, but first I have to grade several ENGL 1301 essays!

I'm on a slower pace than last year, but still managing to stay ahead of the curve a bit.

Whew.....just barely beat my own challenge. My word count is a bit goofy because I don't get to write until later at night (the hours between 9 PM and 2 AM).

Ugh. Fail.

It was nearly 1am and I still lacked 600 words. I'm going to try to catch up at lunch over the next couple of days.

Yesterday's word count was really difficult for me, too. I know you can catch up, Tracy! This is Lubbock's year to have a higher percentage of winners than any other region! We can do this!

Don't sweat it at all. Last year, I didnt start writing until day 5 and still was able to hit 50K before the end of the month. I know I'll be able to get a lot done this weekend without any Tech stuff going on (thank the Lord!)

I didn't make 5000 yesterday, but I'm determined to catch up to today's goal. I'm about 1000 off, but I can make it up! Let's keep it going!

I haven't started writing as I got hit with some mysterious ailment just in time for NaNoWriMo. I'm starting today, and some of you late starters last year are giving me hope!

You'll make it. Once that writing bug takes hold, there won't be any stopping you! :)

Oh, thank you for saying that. This is my first year to do this, and I didn't start writing until today. I feel so behind, but I feel better knowing others can start late and still get it back up and going!

Yeah, don't worry about it. And if all else fails, take one day and just write constantly then!

I'm over five thousand words tonight...not bad considering I started this thing late yesterday thanks to a vicious case of mutant tonsils. At this rate, I should be able to catch up soon!

Last year, my dad was in the hospital, so I started days late.

I just kept telling myself :

"I'm not out of time yet!!!"

and it motivated me to keep going.

Besides, once you hit 35,000 words, it is down-hill from there. ^_^

You can do it!!!
