I am having trouble because of teaching GED in the evenings with getting together during the regular Marion times. I've got a group I've been going to in Fort Wayne on Saturday mornings, but I would really like to see if we can get something going in Marion on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays after 8.30, as I am in Wabash until 8.
Starbucks is not so good for me as the smell of coffee nauseates me. However, Trace at Beatniks would be happy to have us on Tuesday or Wednesdays. I can meet anytime after 4 or 5 on Mondays. So about anywhere would be okay. Library, Mall, or anywhere else anyone can think of. Suggest some times and places.

Oddly enough, the coffee smell is not as overwhelming at Payne's as it is at Starbucks. So Payne's is fine. I just talked to Trace, the owner of Beatnik's and he says we're good for tonight. Can you make sure it gets on the calendar, or is it too late? I will be there around 8.30, but I told Trace that some people would get there around 8.

KateyJane, what's Thursday like at Beatnik's -- loud or quiet? I'm guessing it varies, but Thursday nights used to be THE big weeknight in the bars. Not that a night-shifter who was off on Thursdays would know...
We need to do a Payne's event, too, because it's been so fab to us. (Your British self probably feels so at home that the coffee doesn't whup you upside the head. That, and there aren't as many coffee drinkers.) Maybe day time, maybe weekend -- let me know the preferences.
I do impromptus at Starbucks-Marion, as I did this weekend, because it's convenient and I drink coffee. (Sorry, didn't announce it because Internet was out at my house.) We should do something planned, but not on Thursdays unless you can write standing up. The crowd won't thin until 9:30 or later. I won't do one today, but possibly later in the week or on the weekend. Stay tuned.

I went to Beatnick's tonight, but Trace told me I just missed you, Kateyjane. I didn't see the message until almost 9:30, then I got my stuff together and dashed out the door. I'm sorry I missed you. However, I got a good bit of writing done, and I got my main character through her first "doorway of no return". The set up is over. Time for some real action!
