I'm actually keeping up!

I'm shocked - I'm actually ahead! :D

I'm keeping up too, actually! 2k words per day. Sure it's a struggle, but it's happening!

Writer's block is for pansies. That's right, I said it.

Right there with you, Marlawrites! Last year I fell behind early and was pulling 3 and 4k words a day at the end of the month. it was exhausting, obviously, and I barely made it. But I guess I learned something from the experience, because this year I'm right on target!

I'm ahead! For once! I tried this years ago (twice!) and never got this far, so I'm pretty excited for my chances. (Happy dance!) Glad to see other people getting there too!

what a day! Missed a day yesterday so I started today about 1000 words behind, but 5000ish words later, I'm a day ahead! woohoo!
So excited to be doing this (my first NaNo), and thanks for all the inspiration.

I'm just slightly ahead of the game, and feeling content with the way it's all going. I am a complete Nano newb, so I might be cruising right now on first timer enthusiam!

I wasn't sure I"d do much more than teh minimum. I certainly haven't had expectations that I would, but I am definitely averaging more a day and by this time have a bank of words just in case the dreaded dry spell comes next week. I'm just hoping I can keep my momentum going so I roll right past that.

I haven't cracked 20,000 words since 2006 and I didn't finish that year. I'm feeling good because I will be way ahead of quota by the time I ever go to sleep tonight.

I woke up today behind by almost a whole day's writing, but made progress this morning and am feeling very motivated. Maybe I'll be able to hit 8k by tonight and give some buffer against failure.

Me too! I expected to fail and die within an hour seeing as I've never written anything other than poetry and short stories and I have an inner editor that eats my soul. But somehow I'm keeping up. o.0

I had the same problem last year. I got behind on the first week and couldn't catch up after that once school dumped a bunch of papers on me that were due at the end of November too.

This year, I'm trying to reach my word count each day as if it was the next day. Seems to be working well. And only having one paper due at the end of finals week helps. Well, that and only sleeping an hour on the first night. XD

I jumped into this on Saturday night and Sunday was dismal - but I've caught up! Yeah! Up to 7180 now and willdo more after this break. I'm SO pleased to be on a role! :)Marci

I've gone slightly over my target every day and it's not been a struggle. I've got an outline that I like and the story's coming along nicely. It's all very strange.

This is my first year, and I'm ahead! I'm pretty amazed at how well I'm doing so far. Of course, the quality of what I'm writing is very iffy, but that's not the point. I've got 11k and I've only hardly started my fourth day's writing!

Whoa! I am doing 2k a day, and am actually on schedule! I have a vague outline and am following it! This is so weird. I have tried this for the past two years, and never got above 3k. Right now I'm over 8k and not tired of it yet -- maybe third time's a charm? I'm sure I'll hit the wall eventually, but I'm really enjoying cruising along right now!

I know. I don't do more than 1k/day at my maximum and-- just look! 12k already!!

I just finished, at 40k. I'll be adding a prologue.

Me too! I find the blue progress bars extremely motivating for some reason :D

I am gob-smacked at how easy this is going.....of course now I have totally jixed myself! I set myself a goal of 2000 a day and so far so good!

This is my first ever NaNoWriMo, but I just passed 10,000 words today. I'm a day ahead of schedule! I'm overjoyed! :D

I'm a little ahead too! Which is great, because every year I've lost, I fell behind early in the game. Hopefully I can keep up the pace this year and reach 50K.

I think we all deserve free shrimp dinners just for making it this far. I'm doing a little better than last year, but the main difference is my stress level, which has gone way down. Ah, the joys of writing chick lit. Hopefully I can keep this up and not crash and burn in the middle of the month.

I heard about this thing last year but didn't do it, goodness did I miss out. Well, I'm managing to keep up and I started late (Nov. 3) I'm working at 2k a day with a steady supply of music and contact with supportive people. I would have snacks, but the house is devoid of any form of junk food. ._.

yay! my first nano and I think i'm holding up pretty well ;D except, I haven't planned out any story line after this, so... -shot-

Keeping up here too, and it's my first time! My hands are getting sore though. My roommate and I have been having a friendly competition and I'm now 7k words ahead!

After two previous NaNos where my word count reached an astounding, ehm, 57, I'm really starting to believe this 'third time's the charm' thing. 8D

I'm right on track where I want to be, and sooo geeked over it! I haven't written this many words in the past eight years! (right about the time babe #1 made an appearance ironically!)

The great thing is that I still have so much I want to write, that I'm looking forward to it each day! I wasn't sure if I would have that, and I can't promise I will in two more weeks, but right this instant, I'm really enjoying myself.
