Somehow my characters came up with the idea (stealing somewhat from an installation of Toronto's Nuit Blanche event where local celebrities played Monopoly using real money, not play money - this was in the lobby of the Bank of Montreal building) to create an Ireland version of Monopoly and play it somewhere in the financial district - maybe using real Euros.
I need the help of all Ireland regions so if someone can cross post this to the other Ireland regions (or should I join the other two Ireland regions I am not a member of yet and post separately) it would be helpful.
Anyway there are about ten groupings of locations/streets/landmarks arranged in order of economical to ultra expensive in twos and threes in the game that I know. I would keep this all in Dublin, and probably could, but that would be a Dublin Monopoly, not an Ireland Monopoly and we want to take this thing along with the street sized scrabble game on the road.
I need about ten groupings of locations/street names/landmarks in categories of your choosing (if you want you can also choose the colour).
1 ultra cheap group of three locations
2 or 3 economical groups of three locations each
2 or 3 mid-range (read middle class) groups of three locations each
1 or 2 groups of high end (think Mayfair in London) of two locations each.
Decide approximately how much rent to charge for a hotel and my characters will calculate how much per house on the property.
As far as actual Euro amounts, I'll leave that up to you to decide what is economical, and ultra cheap.
4 railroad station names or train lines - rental fee I'm thinking about 50 euro (the US version I think had 25 or 50 USD per railway owned).
I cannot remember where the financial district of Dublin is located. Is there a bank building with a large lobby on the main floor, preferably with a large enough window so that people can watch from the street (as opposed to going inside the bank which may not be the best idea with all the euros floating freely in there)?
Characters have a few days to hash this thing out so I'll check back in on the weekend and "create' the game.
