Not much point running a write-in that no-one shows up to.

Yep. I sat there by myself for 3 hrs.
Happy to organise it if ppl show, but to spend hours organising and putting my own money into it, and have no-one show up... well I'd rather be writing.

Ray

PS - good 2nd weekend showing at the NSW Writer's Centre tonight. Lowest was in the high thousands I think, highest over 30K.

Oh no, sorry Ray :( That's a bummer. An RSVP system *does* sound like a good idea now... though I've no idea how that would work.

facebook would be the easy option :P

i am soooo behind. i knew this would happen - the deal was homework first, novel in the last week or so of the month - but its still hard sitting here around 2000 while the target for the week is ten times that.... :(

Surely you can get 1 hr a day to yourself. It's 1/24th of the day, no one should deny you that. If you've throught about your next secne, and your typing speed is up to scratch, you can bang out 1000 words in that hour. That's 30K in the month right there. Get a rush on in the last week, I'm sure you can make it.

Good luck!

the trouble is partly that i havent had much time to think about each scene (i seem to plan the gist of the book and the later scenes, but not the intro... d'oh!) and mostly that if i start, i wont want to stop.

i have one more assignment to write in the next three days, and then i think it'll be WRITEWRITEWRITE!!!

thanks!

I think another part of the problem is that we're also in exam period - I was unluckily enough to have my last exam today (all my exams squashed into one week!) - so study study study and then no writing done and no meets =(
