Here's mine:

Five ordinary things about me (Bastion Carver):

1. I have a bit of a temper.
2. I have a younger brother, Dante.
3. I'm fond of black, but I've been wearing it for 100s of years before this Goth look was invented.
4. I like a good cup of tea, especially after a hard night of battling demons.
5. Cats like me more than I like them.

Five things I suppose that are not ordinary about me:

1. I'm a demon hunter (aka Protector).
2. I'm 656 years old and aging very slowly.
3. So far the most demons I've battled at once is 10.
4. I'm tired of the daily grind of my job. Not sure if that's ordinary or not so ordinary since I'll either die or turn demon if I quit.
5. My best friend turned demon 500 years ago. I've yet to kill him.

Five ordinary things about me (Hades):

1. I have three sisters and two brothers, one of which is an ass and the other who's a brat. My sisters've left home already.
2. I'm obsessed with video games. Currently playing Kingdom Key (72 hours in and still not finished!)
3. I like my coffee black with one sugar.
4. My roommate has ADHD and gets on my nerves constantly.
5. I'm stalked. By a girl. And people wonder why I think they're out to get me!

Five things that are not ordinary about me:

1. I go to Olympia Academy, an academy for Gods in training.
2. I'm going to be ruler of the dead after I graduate (so not as exciting as it sounds).
3. I own a three-headed dog (Cerberus Canus, his species) named Indy. Homage to the greatest fictional hero ever!
4. I'm one of the only male students who haven't slept with Professor Aphrodite...mostly to save my hide from the anger of my MDT professor.
5. I hang out with an anthropomorphic cat and a psychotic trickster (my aforementioned roommate). How many people can say they do that?

1. I am about to try to take over the world, because I would be better at it than our current rulers, and I am neither evil nor deluded.
2. I am a Pure-Lined Necromancer, meaning my ancestors are all Necromancers and there never was a Choice of Inheritance for me.
3. I am the Avatar for the Conquerer.
4. I never served in either the Kayelian or Liyekian armies, though such service is considered mandatory.
5. I am widely considered to be a genius for my mastery of a second Inheritance, Night-Magic, despite not carrying the Inherited trait allegedly required.

Five ordinary things:

- My real name is Calum Bryce, as all my ID will confirm.
- I'm not keen on Coffee, like a stereotypical Brit, I prefer tea, white, two sugars.
- I have two flatmates, who I seldom see... mostly because I wake up earlier than they do. They're still on student time, which means they wont get up before noon.
- I grew up in Swansea, Wales, where my parents still live. I spend each Christmas there.
- I came to Leeds to study Physics and Chemistry as a combined degree, I graduated three years ago with a 2:2 and never left the city.

Five extraordinary things:

- I'm a mage, specialising in mind magics particularly.
- I work, or rather, I serve, the Order of the White Rose, an order of mages led by the "Ever Wise" Sophia. I'm a glorified pawn in her cosmic power struggle.
- I have prohetic dreams, though unfortunately they're vague and abstract, making them difficult if not impossible to decipher before the event they're predicting.
- I have contacts with various supernatural entities including vampires and a pack of werewolves who live out on the Yorkshire Moors. I seldom contact them, but it's useful to know they're there.
- I don't trust cats, or owls. A black cat is following me and that damned owl keeps appearing in my dreams, I know they're significant somehow.

Amber

5 ordinary things:

1. Enjoys reading, and is particularly drawn to the different styles of book/manuscript he finds on leaving home.
2. Is not particularly sexual. More focused on, eventually, finding a family in the communal sense. Inasmuch as he has sexual interests, they can apply to either women or men. (In this world, all kinds of sexuality are accepted.)
3. Is not very good at learning new languages.
4. Loves soup.
5. Is a pacifist.

5 2 not-so-ordinary things:

1. Has stopped aging.
2. Doesn't entirely believe in storytelling's power to affect reality.

He has the one major "special" quality and that's mostly it.

1. I'm a metal elementalist in the form of a raccoon dog.
2. I wear glasses.
3. I'm a Snow Lion in the Lily Division
4. I can shapeshift and cast illusions.

2. I have dreams about future events
3. I'm the Official Chronicler of the Snow Lions
4. I'm absolutely useless in a fight (which isn't so much special as very, very odd, considering that the Snow Lions are Border Guards)
5. I spend a lot of time associating with the captains and adjutants in the Snow Lions, even though I'm just a guard.

I've been letting my MC hog all these fun little character things, so I'll pass this one off to one of his shipmates, Louie.

Five ordinary-type things about Louie Holbrook:
1) I got no affection for thunderstorms. Hate 'em, really.
2) I don't get on with my family. Come on, lots of folks don't, right?
3) I ain't interested in settling down - which is ordinary enough for a sailor, anyhow.
4) I'm real loyal to my captain and crew.
5) I learned how to ride horses as a kid - rich family, an' all.

Five not-so-ordinary things
1) I'm a girl. On a ship. A pirate ship.
2) And a damn good mechanic.
3) And I could drink my captain under the table if I ever tried.
4) Did I mention the girl pirate thing? What about the part with the tavern wenches?
5) I'm also the tallest one on the boat.

1. I have a really big family.
2. I love horses and they love me.

4. I am absolutely sure no one can do anything as efficient as I do.
5. I am very stubborn.

Special thing
1. I am halv-elven and magic does not come to me as easy as to other elves.
2. I adopted a shapeshifter (though my society wants me to kill all shapeshifters).
3. I am 247 years old and live in a human village, where every one else is aging like crazy.
4. I got to be the leader of my tribe due to my age.
5. I look elder then my father (pure-elven) and younger then my grand-grand-grand-daughter (pure-human).

Hmm.

1. I would rather avoid conflict than resolve it.
2. I like sex. A lot. But not so much that I get stupid about it.
3. I forget things. Important things.
4. I look like just another traveller.
5. I'm not the smartest person there is.

5 Special Things About Zoe
1. I'm a goddess. There's no shortage of deities round here, but still.
2. I can travel faster than anyone else, even the other gods. Travel is my 'thing'.
3. I've seen more of the world than anyone else.
4. Unlike the other gods, I have no tribe or priesthood.
5. I am the reason everything is going wrong, although it's not really my fault exactly.

Five ordinary things about Zâhof of Baiark Râf:

1. "Ordinary? Ha! Is nothing ordinary about me."

Yeah, sorry, that's all she'll give me. Her people don't value humility at all.

Five special things:

1. "See green eyes? Means I am favored of Mother-of-All. You don't have favor of goddess, I bet."
2. "Am also way stronger than you. Also faster and smarter. See better in dark. Smell better... humans cannot smell at all. Can shoot fly at hundred paces with bow you cannot even string. Well, maybe not fly. Maybe wasp. But am sure about you not stringing it. Once killed nine Baiark Sorr warriors in one raid, last with his own thauk, after he cut me with it. Coward was playing dead. Karn, great warrior of baiark, told me he wants me for wife. I told him, only if he beats me in fight - hands, no weapons, no teeth. Sent him back to other wives with broken arm, told him, he wants green-eyed wife, needs to be stronger. How many is that? Lost count."

I think she's exaggerating about the wasp bit. And she's pretty smart for troll-kin, but not really all that bright by human standards. She's not kidding about the rest of it. But troll-kin cheat - their racial magic is all unconscious and internally focused. Up side is they're physically pretty awesome, magically boosted well beyond human limits. Down side is they can't work magic on anyone or anything else. Not even divine magic, because, proud as Zâhof might be of Her favor, Mother-of-All never intervenes on the mortal plane, and may not even really exist.

Five ordinary things:

1) I'm an eight week old male cat and went walkabout at the traditional age for it, just when I can hunt by myself and do normal cat things by myself I left my mom.
2) I like playing with bugs
3) I like getting petted by my human familiar and snuggle on him to scent mark him.
4) I have a short attention span
5) I love my family and know all their scents.

Five special things
1) I know who my father is and he taught me magic from his magecat line!
2) Mommy is the matriarch of a powerful magecat clan herself and taught me lots
3) I just accepted and claimed a guardian spirit I call Life-lover that's really powerful, but sort of on the softhearted side, it's a good healing spirit. I inherited my father's duty to carry that spirit and use that magic now till one of my sons claims it.
4) I'm VERY clever and have visions of the future that I can act on to change the future, I saved my brother and sisters that way.
5) I love my family and they all have magic too, we all got the vision and so instead of facing the Blight alone, my brother Night is with me and I'm very glad. I'm lucky to have a close brother, not all toms have a close brother decide to wander with them instead of going his own way.

What He Doesn't Realize: he is borrowing some of his human familiar's intelligence and being psychologically affected by human motives and habits of mind. Fortunately, both he and his familiar have optimistic personalities. Night is the one who has to deal with a depressed human familiar, a much tougher inner struggle.

She rocks! I love it. She's so cool. I want to see her try to drink her captain under the table though, she might be a bit overconfident on that one depending on his build and her alcohol tolerance. It'd be fun and funny either way.

Reminds me of that Aubry Park song with the airship pirates. Very very cool.

You know, we're both going to finish these novels and publish them and get reasonably famous. At some unspecified point in the future we'll be surfing and find out that some fan posted a fanfic on the Internet where the black cat following your character is one of my mage cats in a comedy of errors. My mage cats are very sympathetic and it just hit me funny in the head reading that last about being followed by a black cat -- it probably wants to move in and get fried chicken livers, lots of affection and the opening of cans by the mage-with-thumbs.

Actually of course it means whatever they do in your book, but I still think that's amusing.

Five ordinary things about Sister Raven Dina:
1: I'm a widow. Hah, my order can practically be called a sisterhood of widows.
2: My family kept goats for meat and wool. Tried my hand as a goatherd when I was married. It didn't work out well.
3: I can read and write, but not well.
4: My mind wanders during religious ceremonies.
5: Hair is black, my eyes are brown, my skin is walnut.

Five special things:
1: I've been touched by my Goddess, and I've been her avatar.
2: I have some scars from frostbite, from when.... Well I've seen worse on people who survived the pox. But still...
3: My calling, or rather, the special circumstances of my calling trap me to a fate.
4: My lover was born again, and not in the usual way.
5: I die at the end of my story, but that really isn't special, doesn't everyone?

1: she's average looking, no special features

4: she likes to cook

2. Tends to be scathing of the Faery race, likes to point out their supposed weaknesses.

4. Doesn't like to trust anyone else's ability to contribute (She expressly tells another FMC that if she holds up the group, she will put her on an ice floe and push her out to sea without a second thought.)

5 Extraordinary things
1. Is only half Faery but was raised in the Faery community, not the human one
2. Got herself exiled from the Faery kind. This is quite rare.
3. Her closest friend is the queen of a string of incredibly cold, nothern mountains called "The Saana".
4. Does not have a home--she literally wanders all the time.
5. Can't use Faery magic anymore; this right was revoked when she was exiled.

I absolutely love reading all of these responses!!!! I wish I could read the whole stories too. *sigh* Well, that means that everyone must publish. :)

1. I'm a psychiatrist with my own small practice.

1. When I was 17, a powerful metaphysical monster from another dimension imprinted on me.
2. I'm part of a secret society of men and women who keep other people like me, also bonded to powerful creatures from another dimension, in check and sane. Or kill them if it becomes necessary.
3. In fact, I'm the only Caller in the Bondsmen. My partner has special standing orders to kill me if I go crazy. Makes working with him a blast.
4. As a result of #1, I have synaesthesia. My brain interprets external stimuli in odd ways.
5. Really, 1-4 is enough.

She drinks too much coffee
She's lazy
She tends to oversleep
She's got a bit of 'youngest child syndrome'
She's afraid of worms, snakes, and other things with no legs.

Lightning is Special because:
She has traits of both a mage and a wolf (though they conflict).
She's conversant in wolf body language.
She's able to see through demonic illusion without meaning to (though she hates it).
She's not afraid of vampires.
She's able to tell if people are lying if she can meet their eyes.

I live in a flat in Creswick.
I have four siblings: Elizabeth, Amelia, Terrace, and Lucille. But they go by Beth, Mia, Terry, and Lucy.
My father's a contraptor and my mum's a textilier.

I have a job at Ruby's Odds and Ends.
I'm the only one in my family without a nickname. Sometimes they call me Lio. But only sometimes.
I read more than I play outdoors.

Things that are Ordinary about me...
1. I am Less. Yes, we're in the majority.
2. For most of my life, I wasn't even aware of the world outside of my Lady's compound.
3. I was born into my Lady's service. It's one of the better paths circumstance could have afforded me.
4. I don't have much of a concept of the "future." I, like most Less, live in the present.
5. I am scared of the carving on the door to my Lady's chambers. Most of us in her service are.

Things that are Special about me...
1. I am a realist. I understand that my life is, and always will be, limited by my blood. I am Less, I will always be Less, and I am satisfied with doing the best I possibly can with what I have.
2. My lady mistress branded a mark on my tongue, and IT HURTS. As a result, I can't speak a lie.
3. I am still an excellent liar.
4. I get to go places other Less don't.
5. I also get a salary!
