6,745 words on this day 4 in total.

I am right on target.

My story is developing brilliantly well; I do realize I am going to have to do quite a bit of editing in December; but I am delighted with my "plot" which is simply revealing itself to me day by day.

I am not so sure about who my "target audience" is . . . maybe teens who like action/adventure. . . The story is (in my eyes at the moment) vastly over-simplified, but with the suspension of disbelief, it reads like a sort of junior version of a James Bond screen-play. I've been careful with the violence scenes and the language; toning it down to make it suitable for young teens.
But it is, in my opinion, a great story story - not completely believable but sufficiently well-described to make it a fun easy adventure read - A mixture between James Bond and the Bobbsey Twins. . . LOL

PS> Answer me someone!!!!!

I was behind on the second day, but I managed to make it up and get to 5k last night, around 12:30. XD Now its just a matter of keeping up, trying to get ahead.. now that my story has found its rhythm, it should be easier. ^^

I'm doing alright. But my cat's need to step on me and lay on my head while i try to type is inhibiting the creative process.

Yes, that's right. I'm blaming it on the cat.

What? youze gots a problem wit dat?

hehehe.

look! Fire!

I'm way behind but I'm having fun. I'm still trying to find the best time/place to write. So far I've written (pen and paper) in my mini-van before work, pen and paper in the middle of the night ( I woke up with an idea), late last night on the computer after the kids went to bed (and my husband, too), on the computer with my 1 year-old on my lap (ha! that did NOT work well).... So far it seems like writing in little 15 minute snippets is going to be my best bet. I am hoping for a productive weekend, too. Well, in between coaching cheerleading, doing housework, going grocery shopping, doing laundry, shuttling kids to birthday parties, etc.

I'm doing fine. Still struggling with which plot to use, though I'm starting to gravitate towards one.

I had company last night, so I'm another day behind. I need to use this weekend to catch up.

I totally slacked yesterday. So much so that I didn't even bother adding the paltry 500 or so words that I had done. It wasn't my fault. There were zombies...and molotov cocktails to be thrown...and...and...

yeah.

But today...I will make it to 15K. I will...unless...well...

velociraptors. That's all I'm saying. and utahraptors....those suckers are vicious. And voracious. and vivacious?

hooray for procrastinating!

So far, I'm on track, but this monster is hard to keep control of. I think it's going to be way bigger than 50K when I'm done.

I am amazed at how this has been pouring out. I think that using the Speech Recognition capability built into Vista has been helping a fair bit. Yesterday I had the day off and managed just under 8000 words. I am racing to 50K but I know I will go back to add more afterward.

NaNo has been very motivating. This is the most I have written on a story and I really think I will finish this one. Of course it is only the first part of a larger three part story.Only time will tell if I finish all three.

THanks for th encouragement and I offer it back to you. Keep going!

Awesome, McManus!

GO GO GO!!!! *G*

I'm 5k behind but then I had a bigger deficit earlier in the week so I can do it. (I hope)
