Ah the million dollar question! Those who have made it out to a meetup have gotten the scoop - but the more fun question is:

Who do you think she is?

The name was randomly generated at a write in a few years ago, and we all included her in out novels in the least "Bloodsaw" capacity we could. She was a bride in mine, an obstetrician in another, a Kindergarten teacher, etc etc. There was in fact a *real* Katherine Bloodsaw, who lived and died in rural North Carolina more than a hundred years ago and some road trippers brought us back a trophy photo of her headstone.

First off, hi fellow Enfielder!

Secondly, this was touched on during the Halloween Kick-Off get-together. If memory serves, and it usually doesn't, it was a randomly-generated name that was adopted for the group a few years ago. There's a picture and a story about the research upon discovering that person with this name actually existed, but I cannot recall any details to speak of.

Ah, it looks like I'm not quite senile yet! Go me!

Thanks! Yeah, I found a cool Firefox add-on called Multi Links. So I just pop a ton of tabs open and then follow as time allows during the day. The only rub is that it makes some right-click behavior a little wonky. It's great for forums and window-shopping, but I don't know if I'll keep it post-NaNo.

Alright, well, I've decided to uphold what seems to be a Northern CT tradition; Katherine Bloodsaw is now the Quidditch announcer in my slowly-growing Harry Potter story.

Anyone else including her in their novels this year?

One of my victims is named Katherine, but she's married to another character. I might decide to make Bloodsaw her maiden name, though. With a name like that, it would almost sound appropriate that she meet a grizzly fate.

I don't foresee being able to put her in and not having her stick out like a sore thumb. However, I think the Traveling Shovel of Doom may make an appearance. . . .
