Setting: A Victorian style parlor. Space is equipt with comfy chairs, fancy china, and all the tea you can imagine. There is also coffee for those of you who prefer that.
Purpose: Come, relax, chat, and have tea. This is a place for everyone to mingle, ask questions, enjoy themselves, etc...even if you can't make it to one of the weekly write-ins. We can even schedule write-ins in here, for word wars, similar to the word war forum elsewhere, except that chat would also be allowed, etc.
Anyways...how is NaNo going for all of you?

(I tried posting before, but I think my comment got eaten by the internet goblins, so if I somehow end up posting twice, I apologize)
*Sits down in one of the comfy chairs* I'm more of a cocoa drinker, actually. But don't worry, I brought my own. And some brownies, if anyone wants any.
Nano is going well enough for me. It's a little lonely, I'm the only one here from my particular part of Orange County that I've seen on here. And the write-ins are just too far away for me to be able to get to easily. So there's that. But it's nice to at least be able to talk to everyone on here, even if I can't/am unable to participate in person.
So how is Nano going for you, Skatepixie? And also, would you care for a brownie?
----------All writers are crazy, even if they don't admit to it. Who else has a job where you sit around actually listening to the voices in your head?

*Happily takes some tea and relaxes in a chair.* This year's novel started out badly, but is looking up. I decided it would be a sequel to my last year's novel, and this time I actually bothered to put a synopsis up.
How are everyone else's novels going?

Nano is treating me well this year. I'm actually at a write in right now, trying to get my characters to behave. Goodness, how they frusturate me.
Anyways, Raine, I suggest you check out the Dana Point write in. That's fairly close by. :-)

My stories going well, it is certainly disjointed at times and will need some serious editing, but that's for December (although I am still considering going back and adding parts to really help tie everything together).
For now my characters are being surprisingly interesting. One of my characters, the one who started out the most timid just got in a very loud verbal argument with another in the middle of a card game.

Pixie, are you writing a skating story?!?! I am too (again), sort of...I realized that all these characters that I've come to love belong together in a story, but not one I've written before. They're doing shocking things, let me tell you! ;)
I'm in grad school, so I don't know if I'll have a successful month, but writing is a very nice carrot to get me through research papers and presentations.
Hope to make some of the write-ins...it would be great to see everyone again!

Gecko-Adding is fine. I had one NaNo where I wrote the ending in like week 2 and then spent time working on the middle. Also, Gone with the Wind was written last chapter first. :-)
Jolie-Yes, doing a skating story. :-) It's about pairs skaters who used to be dating, broke up, and now are pretending to date for publicity's sake because their coach is forcing them. The girl starts to fall for the Russian champion, and tells him the truth about what's going on. They end up dating a bit, and I think are going to end up together.
