Post it here if you've completed 20,000 words. Go you!

Somehow I'm completely and totally ashamed of getting here. I think it must just be how conflicted I am about the novel.

I'm still in the honeymoon stage with my novel, so things are going pretty well right now. Hopefully it lasts:)

you know, I blew past it, and I don't think that anything substantial has happened in quite some time. . .

Yippy I made it kicking and screaming. What are my characters thinking doing the things they are doing. getting captured by the bad guys doing things they are not supposed to be doing. They were being very bad last night. Now I have spent the day cleaning up their messes. Darn were creatures and vampires. maybe the zombies can come over and wipe them out for me.

I guess I should get around to the forums more often! I hit 20k over the weekend while competing with a friend! Still going strong!

Ok... so 26 report cards had to be written today. I tried really hard not to think about how many words I could be writing as I wrote all of those grades and comments! Finally, tonight I hit my 20,000th word!

The word was: accepted.... as in,

"He was stunned by how willingly she accepted the knowledge of who she really was." Kind of a good spot to celebrate at!

I made it. My 10,000th word was is. The 20,000th was that. Is that an exciting novel or what?

「(しょが) ない。」, which is read as 「(shoga) nai.」It was a response to what the MC said. This is an informal way of saying "there was nothing I could do/it was out of my hands."

I finally hit 20k and I'm almost caught up. My 20k was "all" kind of boring by itself, but read as "the war would start all over again" its a bit more interesting.

I FINALLY hit 20,000 today. I am sooo behind.

My 20K word was know as in "I know this sounds cliche. . . "

I am still overthinking and there just aren't enough hours in the day for me to do that.

I finally made it-- still behind, but I did a bunch Saturday, and if I can average 2k / day, then I have a chance. Still doing too much editing and backspacing-- hard habits to break.

20k word was "of" -- as in, "show the value of in-home fostering..."

My 20,000th word (I reached it last Friday, but didn't post it) was "mule." More appropriate for the 1860s then my 10,000th, "elevator".

Onward!

Just made it to 20k. Sitting at the write-in and it really does help to be surrounded by other people writing at the same time. I decided to push myself harder than I ever have this week. 6 days and 33k words are not going to stop me. I will make it to 50k by the deadline.
