Dear Rintaran,
You are currently top of the heap. I think I am in second. Really I can only see 11 people who I have buddied , even though I have budied more than that(I have tried to buddy all the people who had intro-ed themselves on the forum, but I may have missed a few). I wish that they would sort that by who has written the most words to show you. Maybe they do. Anyways, I am out to kick your ass. I have set my goal to beat whoever of my buddies is above me. From what I can tell it is you and I wrangling for top spot.
Be warned. I am coming to get you. It may not be quick, but slowly but surely, I will be on top of the heap. *Cackles evily*
Smiles
- Julia
P.S. Anyone else feel free to jump in and correct me if I am wrong about who is at the top of the heap and how we all place against each other. Or jump in with your own challenge. It’s a great way to push up your word count, especially if you make it public. That way you have witnesses and are forced to commit.

I'm not sure if you are trying to find who in Sudbury has the most words, but I'm over 10,000 right now, so maybe it's me :)

Dear Pisces,
Thank-you for issuing the challenge, and although I am currently out-stripping you for word count, I am far from leading the Sudbury pack. I think there are a few that are running circles around me by about 7k at this point in time. Keep reaching for that golden ring, and don't let not being in the lead razz you too much. Aim for that 50k, and crank it all out and we'll be laughing our way to a victory.
-Rintaran.
P.S. I'm still going to have more words than you at the end of the month. :P Good luck!

There is nothing like issuing a challenge and then becoming a total slacker....
But I have the great and mighty weekend on my side. Don't you worry. I am going to rock the weekend word count, like it's nobody's business.
Best of luck to everyone. Keep up the good work.
By the way... is this here graph (once it's up and running) going to show us who is top in our area??

If not then I have collected 30 of the 49 homed to Sudbury, and can track them on a daily basis for us to know who is on top. Mind you it may not be at a consistent time everyday.

Congratulations, you're 2/5 of the way done. Keep going, I want to see you on the other side of that finish line with the rest of us! We're looking at a long list of winners this year, and I want to see you on it! :D

Haha, I'm not anywhere near the top of the heap (uh, nice to meet everyone, btw. Sorry I haven't introduced myself properly yet~!). I wasn't actually going to participate this year, but I'm glad some of my friendlies eventually talked me into it.
Good luck to everyone, and congrats to whoever's currently kicking all the rest of our butts in wordcount! (And can I borrow a part of your brain? Surely, if you're that far ahead of us, you can lend us all a bit of extra processing power?)

I just hit 40k, but I'm not sure exactly how many people are representing Sudbury this year. Anyway, it doesn't matter much as long as we all finish!

Congratulations. Forty thousand words is impressive. Especially for a sixteen year old (at sixteen I hadn't read that many words let alone wrote that much!).
Here I was feeling all proud that I was nearing thirty thousand and was well ahead of schedule. Guess so long as we all reach fifty it doesn't matter who gets there first or how badly I get beat by a teenager.
Oh, by the way, your novel excerpt was intriguing. And it was brave of you to put it up. My novel is total garbage right now. I'm embarrassed at how bad it is and could never show it off.
It's going straight to the scrap heap as soon as I write words 49999 and 50000 –– 'The end'.
