I can't help it, I'm insanely competitive. I thrive on competition. If I see a word count higher than mine I instantly have to go write at least another 500 more words than that person. How sad is that? Well I suppose for NaNo it's a good thing. Being about a quarter of the way to my word goal :)
What drives you to write for NaNo and to keep up with your daily word goals?

YES!!
----------I'm definitely setting my goals based on my friend from Chicago who (I think) has more time than I do, and thus is always one step ahead of me. If I can keep up with her, I feel like I'm doing okay. I'm 1000 words behind and have a meeting tonight after work though, so I may have to fudge some company time tomorrow to catch up. Boss will be on the road, and you know what they say... when the cat goes away, the mice will play!! :)

Yes, I can be, my competitive nature has yet to kick in however.

I think there is totally nothing wrong with a little competition.

I do not have a competitive bone in my body.
If I play an online team-based computer game, and we lose, everyone's bitching about how everyone else but them sucks, and blah, blah blah.
I'm like- "Am I having fun? Yep, don't need to win to have fun!"
Because as we're tought time and time again, the "best" rarely win in most aspects of life.

I generally am like this, but competition and ambition are proven keys to the puzzle of success. If only I could take my own advice seriously. lol!

This is probably why, at this point in my life, I am a miserable failure. =D
