So, my character will be wearing one of these garments at some point, a white one. It looks like this: http://www.costumesofnashua.com/CNWebSite105/Active905/Pages/Shirts/PicS... Is there another/more official name for this style of shirt or its fancier ruffled relative? Or is it just a "swordsman shirt"? I know it has less poofy sleeves and ruffles, but my knowledge of the differences ends there. |

Tunic immediately comes to mind? After you mention it once or twice, you can totally skimp and just call it a shirt.

You could probably get away with calling it a blouse, although in modern day a lot of us associate that with a woman's shirt.
