So what's the most bizarre/strange/hilarious thing that's happened in your novels so far? So far my characters have doped up an eleven year old kid on Pixy Stix so he'd crash, and then when he came to on their couch he'd peed himself and couldn't feel his feet, so the woeful MCs had to carry him to the bathroom and then scrub the couch down.

What about you guys? What's been going on in your novels?

I can think of a few ...

When my FMC got clobbered by an AK-47 in the hands of a deranged kidnapper (she's been dealing with the after-effects of TBI ever since).

When my secondary MMC turned out to be the murder victim's illegitimate son (making him a suspect for a while).

When a tornado swept through the area where the primary MMC's family was having a reunion and blew apart a tool shed where a couple of murder victims' bodies had been stashed ... and after the storm had passed, the primary MMC and the FMC got it on in the storm cellar after everybody else had left, not knowing about the bodies.

When my MC was little girl, her father was training her to be a warrior. But she drew faces on her wooden sword and shield and had them sit down for an impromptu tea party.

My MC just realized that her husband is missing his left ear. =P What's bizarre for me is how he didn't die of infection, but you know... realism, ew.

Husband replace wife's toilet seat with one he had in the freezer overnight so she wold be wide awake for the busy day ahead. This was the opening of a novel and it got funnier from then on in order to show the irish humor.

Yeah, bizarre is one thing. Lemme think.

My chars got sucked into the painting of the MC after he got cut and splattered his blood all over it.

Um, the 2nd MMC and FMC got into a childish exchange of name calling for about 3/4 of a page(SS). Some of their insults kinda got out there. eg. "Timberlake wannabe," "plate", "fork," "spoon," "Bob Sagat," "Opera Winfrey." And it gets weirder.

Apparently one of my characters is an anime fan. I really didn't see that coming. And so now he inappropriately misuses japanese slang and phrases he's heard from the anime shows. -.-;

So far I have had a bizarre murder scene with tons of blood but no bodies anywhere around. Then it turned out that this had been going on for awhile and people were trying to stop the serial killer(s). This is not really what I had in mind when I started so it has taken a few odd turns already.

Also a dream sequence which I will probably find really cheesy during my first edits but with as much cold medicine as I am on right now it seems to work just fine.
