Hi--as I mentioned previously in another thread, I live in the Akron region (in Hudson, if that wasn't obvious by the thread title), but due to many circumstances beyond my control, will not be able to attend any of the meet-ups in the city of Akron itself. So here' s my question--I know there are a few NaNoers who also live in the Hudson area, and/or Streetsboro/Stow, etc. I was wondering if we could plan some kind of meet-up, preferably on a Saturday afternoon/evening and/or Sunday mid-afternoon. I would love to get together to hang out, and since I have about two weeks in Hudson this NaNo season, the sooner we can pull this off the better.

Thanks in advance!
Ai

19,000 words already? Congrats! I went to the kick off last night - great time - wonderful people - such different stories being written.

I live in Hudson and would be willing to meet. I have a late afternoon Saturday committment this week but could meet around 1. Panera in the Acme plaza? Or Sunday at the same time and same place?

Hi, Hudson area NaNos

If you do decide to schedule some write-ins, let me know and I'll post them on the calendar we created for the region. That way, other folks who might be interested will have the skinny on the dates/times etc.

THANKS for coordinating!!

Hey -
I can't make it any of the Wed night Akron meetings either. I live in Richfield, but could hop over to Hudson as well. This weekend is bad for me - but I could meet up some night next week - Monday or Tuesday evening?? I'm in the same boat - I'll be out of town after the 13th - so I'm really trying to get this done before I leave. I'm up to 9,336 words!

Shout out to Deborah - this is Maria Santoferraro (old Cole Vision co-hort) - would like to meet up and hear what you are up to!

I'm in Twinsburg, so Hudson would be GREAT! Even though I have the worse time writing on the laptop, printing pages out for word count consideration wouldn't go amiss! (Yes... I'm cheating a little this year, but I'm desperate to get this fic done!). I have no job yet >.< so let me know when you guys do your meet-ups!

I'm in Streetsboro so Hudson would be a great idea for me, too. I started NaNo on time, I just need to get my stuff updated here on my profile... too many things going on LOL... NaNo for me this year is focusing on a couple stories I have started and want to submit for graphic novels, but I gotta HAVE the stories to script them...

absolutely. and since people have such varying schedules, i think we should do a couple throughout the month. i live in hudson/ stow and alot of my college friends doing nano will be back around thanksgiving, so maybe we could do one around that time too? i have pretty much an open schedule. i have school tuesdays and thursdays pretty much all day long, but other than that, i'm basically free!

I live in North Hill in Akron, but Hudson's not that far away--I can drive! I'd love to meet some people....Saturday afternoons is fine with me. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are not good for me. I'm free Thursday thru Saturday.

Let me know where and when!

Ai - you started this convo - does this Saturday at 1pm work for you? If so, it looks like it works for everyone else on this string. Saturday 1pm Panera Hudson Acme Plaza.

This isn't to take away from the actual Akron NaNo meetings which are on Wed at 6pm at the Panera in Cuyahoga Falls at 6pm.

Enough - I must get back to work - I'm having major word count envy - there are people in this group already over 20,000 words. I just topped 11,000 and have far to go!

See you Saturday.

Amy - can you put this on the calendar for the region? Thanks bunches!

Would people consider staying longer? Just curious.

See you guys Saturday at 1pm. I have to be in Kent at 4pm but can stay until then. I'll bring the handouts that Amy provided at the kick off - great prompts and writing scenarios from NaNo.
