Every Friday at 11 am, I note, a write-in is scheduled at Clowns Cafe on King Street. Today I cycled past there and it was closed! A sign in the window told me that they were having building work done and that the cafe was going to be 'closed until further notice'!
Any thoughts on an alternative venue??

Also, P.S., I have a meeting at 11 tomorrow so won't be able to make the write-in until c.11.30. Could those of you turning up put a notice up outside Clowns to say where you will be instead? Thanks so much!!

Hi Nina,
Thanks very much for letting us know, that is a real shame. I'll drop by in the morning and, assuming nothing miraculous has happened and it's reopened, I'll put a sign up. We'll hold tomorrow's meet in CB2 instead. After tomorrow sniglet and I will have a think about an alternative venue, suggestions would be gratefully received. :-)
Thanks again,
Lottie

I phoned Clowns this morning and the guy said they won't be open until Monday or Tuesday, since they have a lot of work to do.
I haven't been to a meet yet and I need to get my sad self in gear, so I'll see you at CB2 today!

Okay, thanks for that. I'll drop by Clowns anyway and put a sign up saying we'll be at CB2 just in case people don't drop by here first, and I'll see you at CB2. :-)
I'll ask sniglet to confirm with them on Tuesday before re-instating the other Clowns meets on the calendar.
Thanks again
