Okay, I couldn't make the write-in last night as my husband was working and I was home with the kids. Even so, I should have had a good 2-3 hours of writing time easily last night. But, yesterday at lunch I wrote 600 words, words that actually made me cry. Too overwhelmed to continue I spent the evening wallowing in the morass of despair and self-indulgence.

Today I intend to shake off the funk and trudge on-ward. If I stay at home it will be very difficult to ignore my emotional pall and the dishes and the laundry and ... well, you get the idea. So, I will be at the Naked Lounge from 5:30ish to 8ish. If you want to join me that would be great.

I'll be the red-head (really, it's hard to miss) ... and I'm looking a bit Christmas-y today as I am wearing a forest green turtleneck.

Whether I see you or not, have a great evening of writing!

I wish that I was up there as i love the Naked Lounge. I like the little table in the back where you can watch people and write about them!!

Did you try chocolate? I was writing a scene where I ended up killing one of my favorite characters but she needed to die to make the story right. I hated it as I was on a plane coming back from Atlanta and got snilffly. It was a very powerful scene and you will look back on that later and just love what you've written.

Don't stop though. Keep cranking out the words and moving forward. There will be time to rewrite NEXT month.

Have a good evening and good writing!!

Hi All,
Well, Kylene, you weren't the only one who missed the write-in. I was actually the only one there. It was such a nice environment for writing, too. Quiet with nice tables, comfy seats and soft lighting. Really nice. I'll try to make it to the Naked Lounge tonight. I like it there as well. Totally different ambiance, but also good for writing. I hope to see everyone who can make it!

We wish you were here too. :) But we can be content with you there, I suppose. :)

No, I didn't try chocolate. I tried pathetic. *lol* I'm much better today. NEXT time I will definitely go the chocolate route.

I just hit my word count for today, and I have decided to tackle last years incomplete nanowrimo novel in the interim as a carrot whenever I hit my word count and/or a stopping point on this years. I love the characters from last year, and it is fiction and far more appealing than the thing my muse is insisting I spit out this year. :)

We'll see how that goes. If it is too much I'll drop the carrot, but the idea of it made me happy today so that is something.

No editing until December. Check. Be kind to the muse ... *grouse* ... check.

Keep on writing. Check. :)

I've been waylaid with a sick Mom - 2 hospitalizations, two falls, two trips in an ambulance - then I sent her to Twin Oaks - all in a two week period! Are we seeing a trend here? It has deeply changed my plot and characters, but we taccept our muse where it finds us! Hope to make it to a write in soon, so I can meet the new folks.

I'm looking forward to visiting the Empire on a future write-in. Unfortunately I think Wednesday nights are pretty much out for me as far as write in's go. I can do Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays though.

Oh my goodness Evelyn! *sending lots of good thoughts your way* Life certainly does have a way of piling it on sometimes, doesn't it? At least you have writing to help you through. :)

Looking forward to meeting you, and in the meantime, don't forget to take care of yourself too!
