My main character is 16 and works in the store her mom owns to help pay the family bills (the store sells sewing/craft stuff, if it matters). I haven't had this experience, but I'm sure some of you have. What's it like? The worst/best parts? Conflicts you had? What your friends thought about you working for your family and not receiving a paycheck? I would love anecdotes if you're willing to leave 'em.

Thank you!
