I'm currently subscribed to all posts in my home forum (because otherwise I would totally ignore it). There are a lot of threads I don't care about, though; it'd be nice to be able to get a notification ("New thread: Things Cheyinka Could Not Care Less About! Post text goes here. Lots of post text. All of it uninteresting or inapplicable.") and then go to the regional forum and unsubscribe from notifications for that post.
I don't want a way to just get new threads in my home forum, because if a thread's interesting, I'd rather just have it come in e-mail. (Yes, I know, I am Part Of The Problem when it comes to volume of e-mail. At least I'm only subscribed to a regional forum rather than, say, Plot Realism? :D)
