Anyone interested in meeting at Hastings to motivate each other on a Friday night?
How's 8pm (to about 10 or whenever) sound?
I assume there is only one Hastings in CS? (just got here)

There are two Hastings in the area, one in CS, one in Bryan. Not sure either is really a good place to write though. The CS one does have a small cafe, but it is not really suited for meeting to me. I go up there a lot to rent DVDs and browse manga, but never find it reader friendly for sitting and reading :-) The Bryan one is smaller and I don't "think" it has a cafe.

The cafe in Barnes and Noble is larger, but they close earlier. The best bets are probably one of the coffee shops or a wifi friendly restaurant, but I have never tried going to one on a Friday night. I know pretty much any restaurant is packed at dinner time, but clears out later. They would probably be closing around 10 though. Most coffee shops are open till midnight or 1, though, and may not be too bad.

All that said, I'd be interested in a Friday write in.

Actually, on Friday's they're open the same hours. And B&N is close to two 24 hour places if people keep going.

So the cafe in B&N is open until 11 on Friday? Sounds good to me, particularly if they have some couches.

Lone Star Pavillion, right?

Yes, no, maybe? :)

Sorries, but I have no car to easily go back and forth from places at night :(

I'll instead be at Aggie Nights in the Common's basement...tons of gaming and having fun down there. XP

I need a title for my story. On second thought...I probably need a plot first. Oops.

Barnes and Noble works for me. They do free wifi now and the cafe has yummy stuff. I don't think they have couches, but should be plenty of seating to find. Whose bringing the sign?

Is the writein at Barnes and Noble a go? I'll try to come, but I'll be riding my bike, in the dark. It's not too far from the campus, though.

I'm still planning on being there. I'll try and get there a few minutes early (this is dependent on my baking being done) and I'll fold a piece of paper in half and stick NaNo! on it :)

Flux, be careful!

Just to clarify, 'there' is in fact B&N.

All right, I will most likely be there at around 8:00-ish. Fortunately, there is a rather wide sidewalk most of the way, so I should be well out of the way of cars :)

I am going to try to stick a NaNo logo on my laptop as well.

Yay! So that's three of us. Anyone else?? I'll probably be there a little early as well, so I'll also do a folded up sign. Any preference on being in the cafe versus the reading area (opposite side)?

It was great fun and I enjoyed chatting with you all.

Between us we wrote about 9,000 words during two write offs, and a bit in between. :D

I'm hopefully in, if I can shake this sore throat and chest congestion...blech. Definitely in need of a write in to help me get back on track

Yep, B&N at 8.

I haven't written a word since Saturday thanks to a bunch of bs happening and needing to study more. But I figure if I write on weekends I'll be happy!
