If you click on 'Regional Info' in the header for the forum, you can finally see the widget that tracks our word count against De Kalb's.

(I didn't do anything to the html, it just automagically started working.)

Cool! So therefore, I have to wonder is it based off word count or by the per member ratio... cause at last look we were in front... but only just with the per member ratio.

Oooh! It's kinda sad but both North and South West Aussies are beating Dekalb when it comes to their total word count!

hehe.

Check out my sig :) I'm feeling rather proud because I managed to follow instructions - a bit of a first for me! - and it worked.

So we are ahead, but only just. Keep typing...

I am typing as fast as I can, while maintaining house, kids and husband. LOL.

Mind you I've written more in less time tonight, than I did in the 6 hours I had during the day. 32k... possibly by the end of tonight. 31.5k definitely.

Sorry Rhiannon Brid, it is by word count per writer. We are a tiny town in the middle of a cornfield. We have 38,000 when the University is in session. We have always done the word war by word count per writer. You are rapidly losing your lead. You are down to 12 words and you are 12 hours ahead of us. It took us until November 23 to catch and pass you last year. What's happening? You guys getting lazy?

(FYI: The widgets were only turned on today. They were purposely kept off until the mad rush of the first couple days of November was over. However, you can get your count using the following links whether the posh widget works or not. This is what I monitor for the graph we produce at the end of the word war:

Regional Wordcount

DeKalb: http://www.nanowrimo.org/wordcount_api/wcregion/1010316

Perth North: http://www.nanowrimo.org/wordcount_api/wcregion/123

Perth South: http://www.nanowrimo.org/wordcount_api/wcregion/3005348 )

Getting lazy!? I wouldn't think so.

Personally, I don't understand why Perth was divided into North and South.

I have no idea why you were separated but considering how poorly the south is doing right now in our regional word war... I can only encourage you to absorb them immediately.

Do they only calculate the stats once a day?

If so, what time UTC is that done? Just so I know when to make sure I have my counts updated ;)

LOL That's not an issue for me, as I update my word count whenever I want to procrastinate, which is . . . oh, ever paragraph or so :D

There will be some hardcore wordage coming from me later today, and tomorrow. Don't you worry :D
