We were discussing this last night at our write-in (which was AWESOME by the way...I love meeting new people who are as crazy as me). Anyhow, we were discussing soundtracks for your novel. I'm very interested to see what type of music you would use to build a soundtrack.

Here's what I have for my novel (so far)

Chapter 6
1) Fireflies
2) Battle of the Heroes

Chapter 7
1) Holla!
2) Sim the Blues
2) One Way or Another
3) Jurassic Park FInale

Chapter 8
-Something creepy as demons have gotten into the house.

I suppose that I just find music that covers the feelings of what I'm trying to get written, use it for writing that part, and then stick it all together as a "Soundtrack."

Current Soundtrack for "Jimme":

(1) Open Hands [by Matt Papa] Listen Here
(2) Hero [Skillet] Listen Here
(3) Awake and Alive [Skillet] Listen Here
(4) Already Over [RED] Listen Here
(5) You Decide [Fireflight] Listen Here
(6) Beautiful Ending [Barlow Girl] Listen Here
(7) Need You to Love Me [Barlow Girl] Listen Here
(8) This is Us [Backstreet Boys] Listen Here
(9) Bigger [Backstreet Boys] Listen Here
(10) Masquerade [Backstreet Boys] Listen Here
(11) The All Spark [Transformers: the Score] Listen Here
(12) Scream [HSM3: Senior Year, the Soundtrack] Listen Here
(13) For Good [Wicked, the Soundtrack] Listen Here
(14) Shooting Star [Stardust, Music from the Motion Picture] Listen Here
(15) Tristan & Yvaine [Stardust, Music from the Motion Picture] Listen Here
(16) Deliver Us [The Prince of Egypt, the Soundtrack] Listen Here
(17) The Plagues [The Prince of Egypt, the Soundtrack] Listen Here
(18) Prayer [Nami Tamaki] Listen Here

And the "Repeat" Songs, songs that I listen to repeatedly for extreme emotion:

SADNESS: Hello [Evanescence] Listen Here
ACTION: Awake and Alive [Skillet] Listen Here
DETERMINATION: Open Hands [Matt Papa] Listen Here
SUSPENSE: Masquerade [Backstreet Boys] Listen Here
HAPPINESS: Innocent [StellarKart] Listen Here
DESPERATION: Scream [HSM3: Senior Year, the Soundtrack] Listen Here

This is subject to change.

Mine is certainly not as well developed. I will have to make this a project for the upcoming month, but I do have some songs that I play.

For writing adventure or intense moments I have selections from:

Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Soundtrack
Pirates of the Caribbean Soundtrack
And other assorted selections from action/adventure movies.

I often listen to classical music. Tchaikovsky is a fave.

But yeah, like I said, I will soon be working on a more extensive playlist. I like the idea.
