...for working on the novel when you really ARE supposed to be doing something else? Like - oh, I dunno, preparing for a talk you have to give tomorrow when you're nowhere NEAR ready? 'Cause if there is, I just earned it.

Now I have to go work on that other thing, or I stand a very good chance of embarrassing myself beyond human comprehension. How do I get myself into these things? (Note the acknowledgement: I got MYSELF INTO IT.)
