I just double-checked with Grassroots, and we're on for Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 or so. (I promised we'd be out of their hair by 5 p.m.) We'll be upstairs in the loft again.

So, who all is coming and when? I want to make sure I have enough tables and chairs set up.

....

BTW, they are having a National Bookseller's celebration and sale on Saturday, so a) it may be slightly busier and noisier at the cash register and b) book! sale! *grin*

Continuing the aside, as I was hunting for information about the sale, I discovered they are celebrating their 38th birthday as a business on the 13th of November (that's a long time for an independent bookstore--there aren't many left!) and they are having a "Worst First Sentence Competition" in the tradition of the annual Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest. Turn those awful words into winning ones! You can ask about it there on Saturday or check out their website. The deadline is Nov. 12.

Maeve your count is inspirational. I'll be there and share the good vibes with other wrimos! Hey remember, it's time to show our Maeve how lucky we are to have her helping us!

I put this in another thread, but it's worth repeating that it's Independent Booksellers Day tomorrow, and Grass Roots is having munchies and various sales. So it may be more crowded and noisy than it was last week. I know I won't take any offense if people wear headphones!

Oh. goodness, Muluc, that's not necessary, but very kind! *smile*

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Cool!

Lesse, *counts*
That makes three, plus five others who've told me elsewhere that they're coming, so we have at *least* eight so far. Yay!

I shall NOT be in attendance, as my mom is coming down to visit. (Yay! Free groceries!)

I hope to be at the next one, though!

I will be there, maybe not all day. I think I am one of the five. I may have my daughter.

I don't know if anyone checks this, or if there is wifi at Grassrootts, but life is happening to me this morning and I won't be joining you after all. I'll be with you in spirit, and I am in for Charlie's.

Hi Kaycee,

We did miss you but didn't get this message; I assumed that it wasn't going to work to bring your daughter. The wifi at Grass Roots is locked, and I didn't check my iPhone (though for me to go that long without checking email is rather amazing). There was a rather small crowd today, but I think we all got a good amount done. I wrote over 4400 words there before leaving at around 3.

Hope to see you at another one soon.

Melissa

Sorry you couldn't make it (we all have bouts of life.) Looking forward to seeing you at Charlie's!
