If you have a halo (i.e. you've donated this year to NaNoWriMo), you get to post in here!

If you DON'T have a halo...go get yourself one and then come back! They're cheap! $10 gets you in the door! What are you waiting for?

It really is a good cause, the office of letters and light makes possible really cool initiatives to encourage literacy and education in underprivileged communities. I remember a few years ago they were helping build a library in Cambodia.

Woo-hoo for halos!

you guys do realize that the count stops at 11:00 for some reason. flurry in your last words of the day, lest they languish uncounted 'til tomorrow!

Look at all the shiny gold halos! They look quite lovely <3

No matter how poor I've been during NaNo, I've always managed to scrape together at least $10 to donate. It's definitely worth it!

You should go lay down. Or get laid down. Or both. Anyway, congrats, that's fantastic!

Like what you've done with the place. Lots of space.

I wouldn't mind if it were more crowded...

I thought my fellow HaloWriMos would like to see this:

http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/wordcount_stats?sort=desc&order=Donations

It's a list of regions in order of donations, starting with the highest. A quick scroll down shows you that Lawrence, Kansas is in the top 100 for donations - which I think is pretty awesome! In fact, we're ranked 68th!

Unfortunately, TOPEKA is ahead of us by about $35 - I think it might be time to really convince people to chip in a bit so we can take our rightful place as the leading region in Kansas with donations ;) Who's with me?!

I love this idea! We'll have to bring it up at the write-in tomorrow.

And that is so AWESOME that we are in the top 100. Not too shabby for little ole Lawrence, KS. Especially since a lot of our Wrimos are poor college kids.

Thanks again for your HUGE donation, Ted. You definitely put us on the map.

: )

Thank my uncle. He's running my grandmother's estate now, so we're getting annual monetary gifts again. Go, Uncle Dave, go!

Yes, but you could have went and bought something for yourself with the money, but instead you donated it for our region! So you still get a great big thanks from me :)
